2019 Parent Child Championship

Eligibility:

The ASGA Parent-Child is open to amateur golfers in the following divisions:

Mother-Daughter, Mother-Son, Father-Daughter, Father-Son, Grandparent-Grandchild (Step-Parents/Step-Children are acceptable)

The minimum age is 10 years old – or approved by the tournament director. *Father-Son division: Son must be 13 years of age or younger. If only one team member lives in Arkansas, they must be an active ASGA individual member with a current handicap index. If both team members live in Arkansas, one must be an active ASGA individual member with a current handicap index. An out-of-state player must complete the handicap verification at the bottom entry form or mail a copy of their handicap card.

Professionals who are employed or associated with ASGA member clubs and courses are eligible to compete.

There is not a minimum or maximum handicap requirement. Contact Tyler at tyler@asga.org with any questions.

 

Tees:

Women under 65 and boys 13 and under will play the White tees (6,000 yards).  Boys 14 years of age and over and men under 65 will play the Gold tees (6,600+ yards).  Men 65 and over will play the Blue tees (6,303 yards).   Women over 65 will play the Red tees (5,250 yards).

 

Entry Fee/Deadline:

The entry fee of $125 per team includes cart fees, range balls, tee gift, lunch provided after the completion of play, plus prizes to low finishers in each division. Deadline to register is Friday, August 2nd at 4:00pm.

 

Schedule:

18 holes of play beginning with a 1:00 P.M. shotgun start, at Pine Bluff Country Club. Lunch will be provided after play.

 

Format:

The format will include alternate shot on the par 3s (both players will tee off and choose the best shot to continue play from), scramble on the par 4s, and best ball (4-ball) on the par 5s.

 

Divisions/Flights:

Divisions include: Mother-Daughter, Mother-Son, Father-Daughter, Father-Son, and Grandparent-Grandchild. Flights will be determined by gross score and the number of flights will be decided by the number of entries in that particular division.

 

Prizes:

ASGA gift certificates for the low finishers in each division will be awarded and a trophy will be presented to the Overall Champion (lowest score in any division).
