2019 Arizona Four-Ball

 

Entry fee: $180/person

Entry Deadline: 11:59 p.m. on Monday, August 12th.

 

HOST SITE: Gainey Ranch Golf Club, 7600 E Gainey Club Dr, Scottsdale, AZ 85258

 

DATES: August 17-18, 2019 (Saturday & Sunday)

 

CADDIES: Caddies are permitted for the Championship. They must walk at all times unless there is an available seat in one of the players carts. Caddies riding in a cart MUST NOT displace a player. See Notice to Players for tournament specific regulation.


In addition, the following golf cart policies will be enforced:

  1. Spectator carts are not permitted for insurance reasons, NO EXCEPTIONS.
  2. Pull carts are permitted as long as not in conflict with the Host Club rules.

 

ELIGIBILITY: Both participants must hold an active membership with an AGA Member Club.  

 

FORMAT: 36-holes of Four-Ball stroke play, OPEN OR SENIOR (50+) DIVISIONS. If one player is under 50 years old, the team will compete in the OPEN Division. All players regardless of division will play the same tees. Max field size of 50 teams.

                                                                                        

TOURNAMENT TEE TIMES: Groups of four with teammates riding together. Shotgun start both days.

In the event of a tie, a hole-by-hole playoff will begin immediately following the conclusion of play to determine the champion.


SHOTGUN START: The posted shotgun starting time each day is the time that all play has begun by all groups in the tournament. For this reason, the practice facilities will close, and participants will be called to their carts 15 minutes prior to the starting shotgun time. Be sure to arrive with adequate time to warm up and collect needed materials from the AGA staff prior to the call to the carts.

 

PAIRINGS: Official tournament pairings will be available by end of day on Wednesday, August 14th. Pairings will be posted on the tournament website and players will receive an email once pairings are available.

 

PRACTICE ROUNDS: Practice rounds available starting Monday July 8th. Please call the Golf Shop at and identify yourself as an AGA/ Arizona Four-Ball participant to schedule. Gainey Ranch Golf Club has offered a special $36+tax rate for Arizona Four-Ball Participants.

 

DRIVING RANGE: Practice balls will be available on the range prior to play on: Saturday and Sunday.

 

PAYOUTS: Payouts in the form of merchandise gift cards will be given to top finishers. Specific payout amounts will be posted prior to final-round scoring.

 

GOLF CART USE: Players may walk or ride. Players may walk but are permitted to ride in carts and cart fees are covered in the tournament entry fee. Carts will be staged near the practice facilities each morning of the competition. Maximum of two carts per group and maximum of two riders per cart. In addition, the following policies will be enforced:

  1. Spectator carts are not permitted for insurance reasons, NO EXCEPTIONS.
  2. Carts are assigned only to contestants. A caddie may use a cart only if a contestant is not displaced by such use.
  3. Restrictions on cart use for players are at the discretion of the Host Site, and all players are bound by those requirements, subject to withdrawal for violations of that policy. Any such restrictions will be posted at the tournament site.
  4. Two persons per cart only.
  5. Carts must be kept on paths if available near greens and tees.
  6. Any non-player riding with a player is considered a caddie and subject to any potential rules violations.
  7. Pull carts are permitted as long as not in conflict with the Host Club rules.

 

WITHDRAW POLICY: Prior to the Entry Deadline, players may withdraw from a tournament and receive a full refund by completing the withdraw process on the tournament website, calling the AGA office (602) 944-3035 during normal business hours or calling the Withdraw Line at (602) 944-3035 ext. 210 and leaving a message.

After the Entry Deadline has passed, any withdraw will be considered a “late withdraw”. Tournament entry fees will only be returned if the player’s position in the field is filled by an alternate. In any case, a $30 administrative fee will be deducted from any tournament entry fee refund, regardless of the reason for withdrawing.

2019 Arizona Four-Ball Price:
Entry Fee- $360.00 per team

 

 

FORMAT: 36-holes of Four-Ball play in two flights. Open Flight and Senior(50+) Flight(all will play same tees). Those playing in the 50+ Flight may win the overall title but are also playing for a separate payout. You will be paid whichever purse is greater but cannot be paid from both. Season points will be allocated as an Open event. Both members must be over the age of 50 to participate in the Senior Division. 

 

ELIGIBILITY: All players must have an active membership with an AGA Member Club in order to participate.
