History

The Georgia-South Carolina Junior Challenge Match is an annual competition between male amateur junior golfers representing the GSGA and the South Carolina Golf Association. Initiated to promote junior golf and camaraderie between the two states, this event was the first interstate junior match to be held in the country when it started in 1976. Georgia leads South Carolina 24-14-4

Eligibility
Teams are composed of the top eight eligible finishers from each state's 2019 Junior Championship. Any necessary player substitutions follow the order of finish as well. Golfers are eligible for the Georgia Junior Championship if they were between the ages of nine and 18 at the time of the Championship (June 17-19) and GSGA members.

Championship Format

Eight singles matches each day, one point for each match.  Totaling sixteen points on day one and sixteen points on day two.
