Peach-Palmetto State Women's Showdown

Eligibility

Each association will be represented by the top four eligible mid-amateur and top four eligible senior amateur finishers in their respective Women’s Player of the Year and Senior Women’s Player of the Year points’ lists or via another method approved by each golf association. If not enough point earning mid-amateur players are available, a senior may play as a mid-amateur. For the purposes of this competition mid-amateur shall be defined as over 21 and not currently enrolled in college.  Team members must be residents of the states of Georgia or South Carolina, complying with the respective state’s requirements of residency and age. 

Championship Format

Day One 

  • Four Four-Ball Matches in the morning 
  • Four Foursome matches in the afternoon

  

Day Two 

  • Eight singles matches.  Each match shall be scored in the Nassau scoring format consisting of one point for the front nine match, one point for the back nine match and one point for the overall match totaling three possible points per match totaling twenty-four points on day one and twenty-four points on day two.  

 

There will be 48 overall points available during the competition.  In the event of a tie in any match, ½ point is awarded to both sides.  The visiting team has the honor on the first tee each day of the competition.
