Qualifying on Monday, August 5, 2019 @ Tatum Ranch Golf Club

Field Size & Qualifying Spots

  1. 67 players in field at entry deadline. Tee time structure will be 1 & 10 tee start, 10-minute intervals, beginning at 7:30 a.m.
  2. 3 qualifying spots with 2 alternates.
  3. In case of a tie for the final qualifying spot or either of the two alternate positions, an immediate hole-by-hole play-off will be conducted for the players involved following play.  

 

Pairings & Assigned Start Times

  1. Pairings were prepared by the USGA and start times were assigned by the AGA. Pairings are enclosed.
  2. Changes to pairings or start times are not permissible for any reason.

 

Use of Golf Carts

  1. Participants in the Senior Amateur Qualifier and Championships will follow the ‘One-Seat” policy. The player or the player’s caddie may ride, but both may not ride at the same time.
  2. Players (not caddies) may rent golf carts inside the Golf Shop the morning of the qualifier for $25. There is no limit to number of golf carts per group for the qualifier. Golf carts will be given out on a first-come, first-serve basis.
  3. Players may use their personal push/pull carts during the qualifier at Tatum Ranch Golf Club.  
  4. Spectators/Guests are not allowed to ride in carts. No spectator carts are allowed.

 

Practice Rounds

  1. Practice rounds are available beginning July 29. Players can make reservations by calling 480-515-5908 and identifying themselves as USGA Senior Qualifier participants.
  2. Practice round dates available: 7/29-8/4 after 10am
  3. The practice round fee is $40 + tax.

 

USGA Policies in Effect

  1. Groove Condition Policy is in effect for local qualifying, see attached sheet.
  2. Alternative Footwear Policy will be in effect.
  3. The ball each player uses must be named on the current List of Conforming Golf Balls issued by the USGA & the ‘One-Ball Rule’ will be in effect.
  4. Distance measuring devices are allowed during the qualifier.

Course Setup

         1. The course will be played at approximately 6,856 yards. Enclosed is the planned hole by hole yardage. 

  1. The Committee reserves the right to alter the yardage based on weather and course conditions the day of the qualifying.
  2. All Local Rules will be listed on the Notice to Players.
  3. The USGA Hard Card is enclosed with conditions of the competition.

 

Practice Facilities & Registration

  1. All practice facilities will open by 6:30 am.
  2. There will be no registration on-site.  Arrive at your starting tee 10 minutes prior to your assigned start time for instructions and materials.

 

Food & Beverage Service

         1. Only the snack bar will be open for F&B options. Players should arrange to eat meals off property. Only snacks and beverages will be available at the 1st tee and the                    turn. No Beverage cart.

 

Dress Code

  1. Golf-style shirts and either slacks or Bermuda-length shorts are acceptable for contestants and caddies.
  2. Tennis attire, t-shirts and slacks/shorts of denim/jeans material are not acceptable.
  3. Player and caddie’s shirts must be tucked in at all times.

 

To Withdraw

         If you need to withdraw for any reason you must contact both of the following prior to your assigned start time or you shall be listed as a DQ:

  1. The AGA @ 602-944-3035 and leave a voice message in mailbox 210 regardless of the time of day.
  2. The USGA @ 908-234-2300
