PLAYER INFORMATION SHEET

 

Format: 54 holes, stroke play (18 holes per day). There will be no cut for the Championship.

 

Rules of Play: The 2019 Rules of Golf are in effect and are supplemented by the Mass Golf Hard Card. The Committee will provide any additional Local Rules needed at the Championship site. It is the individual player’s responsibility to know the Conditions of the Competition.

 

Policies & Procedures: Please refer to the Mass Golf Policies & Procedures page.

 

Golf Carts, Caddies and Pull Carts: Players may use caddies and/or pull/push carts during the Championship Proper. The use of automotive transportation is also permitted and the cost of carts is included in the entry fee for all players.

 

Time of Starting – Rounds 1, 2 & 3: Can be found on the NEWGA Championship Landing Page. Play will begin at 8:00am on all days off the 1st and 10th tees. Please be sure to be at your assigned starting tee 10 minutes before your scheduled starting time. The starter’s clock at the 1st & 10th tees is the official time.

 

Practice Round

Available Dates: Dates and tee times will be based on availability and you may be paired up with other competitors playing their practice round.

Championship Yardage: Yardages are subject to change and may be moved by the committee between rounds. Below are the Championship yardages:

Notes

• Please contact the GreatHorse pro shop at (413) 566-2005 to schedule your practice round.
• There will be a mandatory cart/trail fee of $30 per competitor and competitors are limited to one practice round.
o Caddies may join competitors during their practice round as a caddie or have the option of playing at the guest fee of $125.
• Competitors may warm-up on the practice range, short game area and practice putting green ahead of their practice round starting time.
• Only one ball may be played per competitor during their practice round. .
o The practice putting green & short game area will be available for competitors after 4:00pm on Sunday, July 7th. 
• Competitors must provide their own balls when using the short game area.

 

Practice Facilities: The practice/warm-up facilities will be open and available starting at 7:00am each day.

 

Food & Beverage: Will be available for purchase throughout the event in the clubhouse (cash or credit – credit preferred). Breakfast will be available 7:00-10:00am, Lunch 10:00am-3:00pm & Dinner 3:00pm-9:00pm. A barbeque lunch will be provided by Mass Golf on Tuesday, July 9th.
