Please review the following conditions of competition for the 2019 Northern Junior Qualifier at Agawam Hunt Club on Tuesday, July 9th.

Starting Times & Pairings: Starting times will be e-mailed to all players and available on the qualifier portal approximately five days before the qualifier.
Format: All participants will play 18 holes of stroke play on Tuesday, July 9th. A total of seven (7) boys and two (2) girls, plus ties, will advance to the 18th Northern Junior Championship. There will be no playoff to determine the final spot and all ties for the last spot will advance.
Alternate Procedure: An alternate pool will be formed that includes ALL players from each qualifying site with the next best score after the cut line. After qualifying, all players in the pool will then be randomly ranked by number as alternates. The alternate list for the Championship Proper will be published, posted online and updated as players are added to the Championship Proper.

Traffic Notification: The traffic in and around this area of Rhode Island is extremely heavy throughout the day. Please make sure to take these traffic conditions into consideration when planning your departure and arrival times.
Practice Rounds: Practice rounds are available for competitors only based on course availability at a cost of $25 (walking). Players must call the Agawam Hunt Club Golf Shop at (401) 434-3254 to book a practice round. Please identify yourself as a contestant in the Northern Junior Qualifier when booking your practice round.
Rangefinders and GPS System: Rangefinders and GPS systems will be permitted during the competition, provided the player uses a device to measure distance only. If, during a stipulated round, a player uses a distance-measuring device to gauge or measure other conditions that might affect his play (e.g., gradient, wind speed, temperature, etc.), the player will be disqualified.
Dress Code: The Northern Junior Championship has a dress code policy which all players must adhere to. All players and spectators are required to wear a collared shirt which must be tucked in at all times. Jeans are not allowed and hats must be worn in a traditional manner. Failure to comply will result in disqualification.
Late to Tee (Rule 6-3): In accordance with USGA rules, any player who arrives late to their assigned tee time within 5 minutes will have the opportunity to play and will be assessed a two stroke penalty. If the player arrives more than 5 minutes late to their assigned tee time, they will be disqualified. There are NO exceptions to this rule in order to be fair to the rest of the field, and refunds will not be issued for disqualifications.
Withdrawals & Refund Policy: Any player wishing to withdraw must notify the tournament office at (860)-249-1734 or tournament@northernjunior.com by July 5th to receive a refund.
Other Information:
- Golf carts and spectator carts are not allowed without a Government issued permanent handicap placard.
- Caddies are not permitted during tournament play
- Non-motorized push/pull carts are permitted
