Format:                                                         

One 18-hole round of individual stroke play.  Contestants will play from the USGA tee-markers wherever they are placed (see Yardage sheet).  The low individual scores will advance to the U.S. Senior Women’s Amateur Championship at Cedar Rapids Country Club in Cedar Rapids, Iowa on August 24-29, 2019. Any play-offs will take place immediately after the conclusion of play for the last spot and two alternate positions.

 

Competition Schedule:                               

Starting times will start at 8:00 AM off of hole #1. Please check the NCGA website for groupings and starting times. Please be at your assigned tee at least 10 minutes prior to your starting time.

 

Practice Round Information:                      

Practice rounds are available Monday-Thursday for $100 including cart. Friday-Sunday afternoons have limited availability for $115 including cart. Please email Brian Brake at bbrake@blackhawkcc.org to schedule a time.

 

Cart Information:                                        

Players may ride in golf carts during a stipulated round and are available for $15/player.  SEE TRANSPORTATION CLAUSE IN RULES INFORMATION. SPECTATOR CARTS ARE PROHIBITED. Groups are limited to two carts per group. Use of carts for this facility is STRONGLY encouraged.

 

Caddies:                                                        

Caddies are permitted, however they are not available from Blackhawk CC.

 

Practice Balls:                                              

Range balls will be provided to players at no cost and the range opens at 7:15 AM.

 

Payment Information:                                

Credit cards are accepted for all purchases at golf shop and food and beverage.

 

Food and Beverage Information:               

Breakfast is not available on site. Grab and Go will be available at the Turn (after the 9th Hole) and the Grille opens at 11 AM.

 

Withdrawals:                                               

Notify the NCGA at 831-625-4653 to withdraw.  Players that fail to notify the NCGA prior to their starting time will be listed as No Shows.

 

Refunds:                                                        

In the event of injury or illness, contact the USGA at (908) 326-1950 for a refund prior to August 24, 2019. No refunds will be issued after August 24, 2019.  A $35 service charge will be deducted from all refunds.

 

 

ADDITIONAL RULES INFORMATION

 

 

Rules Information:                                       

The Rules of Golf effective January 2019 are in effect and are supplemented by the 2019 USGA Hard Card.  The Committee will provide any additional Local Rules needed at the qualifying site.  It is the player’s responsibility to know the conditions of the competition.

 

Limitation of Golf Balls:                              

The one ball Rule as prescribed in Section 8 of the Committee Procedures is in effect. See Model Local Rule G-4.

 

Transportation:                                           

“One-Seat Policy”: The player or the player’s caddie may ride in a golf cart during a stipulated round, but both may not ride at the same time. Additionally, the USGA reserves the right to limit or suspend the use of golf carts due to inclement weather, unsafe use of the golf cart or circumstances where use of the golf cart would present a hazard to others, the course officials, the golf course or for other unforeseen circumstances.

 

If the player’s caddie has a disability and the caddie would like to ride in a golf cart throughout the stipulated round in addition the player, consistent with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), a disabled caddie may be permitted to use a golf cart as an accommodation to hit or her disability. As required by the ADA, the USGA will evaluate such requests on a case-by-case basis. To evaluate such requests, submission of the Golf Cart Request Form for the caddie is required (as well as additional important information for first time and subsequent requests for a golf cart).

A player or caddie who shows significant disregard for this policy may be disqualified for serious misconduct (Rule 1.2).

 

Footwear:                                                     

Rule 4.3a is modified in this way:

                                                                       

During a round, a player must not wear shoes with:

  • Traditional spikes – that is, spikes having single or multiple points designed to penetrate deeply into the surface of the ground (regardless of whether made of metal, ceramic, plastic or other materials); or
  • Spikes of any design that are entirely or partially made of metal, if such metal may come into contact with the course.

Penalty for breach of Local Rule – see Rule 4.3.

 

Grooves Condition:                                     

Local Rule as prescribed in Section 8 of the Committee Procedures is in effect, except as modified by the applicable championship Entry Application. See Model Local Rule G-2.
