FORMAT:

Both Groups will play the 9-point game as outlined in the 2019 Scratch League Manual. The top two teams (one from each of the groups) will advance to the 2019 SCGA Scratch League Championship at Soule Park GC on November 15th, finalizing the 8-team field.

The current index (November 1 revision) will be used to order lineups.

GROUPINGS:

Seeds 7, 11 and 12 will play in Group 1.

Seeds 8, 9 and 10 will play in Group 2.

REGISTRATION:

All Team Captains must check in at the SCGA registration tent outside of the golf shop. Registration will begin at 6:30a.m. All players must check in with the golf shop to pay the $35 greens fee (range balls included - carts optional ($15)).

STARTING TIMES AND PAIRINGS:

Starting times and pairings will be e-mailed to players and posted online at scga.org one week in advance of the tournament. Group 1 starting times will range from 7:30 a.m. to 8:24 a.m. Group 2 starting times will range from 8:33 a.m. to 9:27 a.m.

Players are encouraged to arrive at their assigned tee well in advance of their starting time, as the SCGA starter will have information to discuss and distribute to each player in the group. Furthermore, players arriving late will be penalized under Rule 5.3a of the Rules of Golf. For example, the 9:00 a.m. starting time is defined as 9:00:00, and players arriving after that time are considered late. Lead groups should plan to be at their assigned tee 10 minutes in advance of their starting time. Subsequent groups are encouraged to arrive in time to watch the group in front of them tee off.

AUTOMOTIVE TRANSPORTATION / PULL CARTS & PUSH CARTS:

Carts are optional at the player's expense ($15). There will be a maximum of two carts per group and two bags per cart. Drivers must be at least 16 years of age (or older if club policy dictates). Each player is entitled to one seat in a cart. If a player brings a caddie, the caddie may ride provided there is a vacant seat in one of the carts. Otherwise, either the player or the caddie must walk. Pull carts and push carts are allowed.

TIE-BREAKING:

In case of a tie between two teams at the end of the competition, the teams tied will select two players to play a sudden-death aggregate playoff immediately following the conclusion of play.  Play will be in one group of four using the 16-point game format.  After completion of the first playoff hole, the highest point total of both teammates will determine who moves on.  If still tied, all players will continue on to an additional sudden-death playoff hole(s).

In case of a tie between three teams at the end competition, the teams tied will select three players to play a sudden-death aggregate playoff immediately following the conclusion of play.  Play will be in three groups of three using the 9-point game format.  After completion of the first playoff hole, the highest point total of all three teammates will determine who moves on.  If all teams are still tied after the first playoff hole, all players from those teams will continue on to an additional sudden-death playoff hole(s).  If two teams are still tied after the first playoff hole (or additional playoff holes), the teams tied will select two players to play the next playoff hole(s) using the 16-point game format.

CADDIES & SPECTATORS:

Players may provide their own caddie (See section on Automotive Transportation). Caddies must adhere to the dress code listed in section below. Spectators are permitted but are not allowed in carts. Spectators must adhere to all policies set forth by the club.
