Format:
36 holes of stroke play (18 holes per day). Play will be 100% of the Course Handicap. Men will play from the WHITE tee markers and women will play from the GOLD tee markers, at the posted yardages, in all flights. Course Handicaps for women will be adjusted accordingly. In the event of a tie for first place, there will be a hole-by-hole play-off to determine the winner, in each flight, immediately following the conclusion of play. If a play-off cannot be conducted (decision of the Committee and golf course) the USGA method of matching cards will be used. Ties for second and third place, in each flight, will be broken using the USGA method of matching scorecards.
Flights:
Big Sur (7.4 and below); Golden Gate (7.5-12.7); Yosemite (13.0 and above). Flights are determined using the October 1, 2019 Handicap Revision.
Competition Schedule:
8:00 AM off tee #1 and #10. Players should be at their assigned tee 10 minutes prior to their tee time. Both rounds will be the Chardonnay/Zinfandel rotation with Zinfandel playing as holes #10-18.
Check the NCGA website for groupings and starting times. Players should be at their assigned tee 10 minutes prior to their starting time. Second round starting times will be posted on the NCGA website following the conclusion of first round. Players will be grouped by score within their flights.
Practice Round Information:
If you wish to play a practice round you must make reservations by calling the golf shop at the number listed above.
Cart fee is $20 per rider. Range balls are included in this fee. Practice rounds are subject to availability.
Cart Fee Information:
Golf carts for the competition are optional at the player’s expense. Cart rental is
$20 per person. Spectator carts are prohibited. A maximum of two carts per group is permitted.
Rules Information:
Golf shoes – Model Local Rule G-7 is in effect.
Maximum Score – The maximum allowable score for a side on any hole is 9, Rule 21.2 applies.
Alternative to Stroke and Distance – Model Local Rule E-5 is in effect.
Golf Shop and Driving Range:
Pro shop and driving range will open at daylight.
Payment Information:
Cash, check, and credit payments accepted.
Food and Beverage Information:
The restaurant will open at 6:30 AM. Outside food and beverage is not permitted.
Additional Information:
Prior to the first day of the event, you must make yourself familiar with the Player Handbook (including 2019 Hard Card,
2019 Pace of Play Policy, and 2019 Clarification on Smart Phones). You, the player, are responsible for knowing this
information.
