CHAMPIONSHIP DETAILS

 

Dates: June 29-30, 2020

 

Site: Riverside Golf and Country Club | Portland, Ore.

 

Eligibility

Women: Entries are open to female amateur golfers with Handicap Indexes of 40.4 or less who are at least 60 years of age or older as of June 29, 2020.

 

Men: Entries are open to male amateur golfers with Handicap Indexes of 36.4 or less who are at least 65 years of age as of June 29, 2020.

 

All contestants must be members in good standing of an OGA Member Club.

 

Format: 36-hole stroke play competition. In the event of a tie for the overall Champions in either division, the winner shall be decided immediately by a hole-by-hole playoff. In the event of a tie for the gross winner in any division, the winner shall be decided by the USGA recommended matching scorecard method.

 

Entry Fee: $140

 

Entry Includes

  • 3 rounds of golf - One practice round and two competitive rounds
  • OGA hosted lunch on Monday
  • Tee prizes
  • Merchandise certificates will be awarded to top gross and net finishers in all flights
  • Special awards from Jones Sports Co. will be awarded to the Men's and Women's Champions

 

Handicap: Course Handicaps are reduced according to USGA recommendations. Players receive 95% of Course Handicap to calculate the final Playing Handicap. Course Handicaps will be based on the June 26th Handicap Index.

 

Field Limit: The field will be limited to 90 players, including Men and Women. Entries will be accepted according to the date and time of receipt of entry and entry fee.

 

Exemptions: A place in the field will be reserved for the Defending Overall Champions: Pat O'Donnell and Cindy Anderson as well as Division Gross Champions: Denny Taylor, Pat Rauber, Kenneth Forster, Addie Vandehey and Marie Gann until the closing deadline. Exempt players must meet the eligibility and Handicap Index requirements and must file an entry by the deadline.
