Welcome to the 30th Oregon Women's Stroke Play Championship

 

 

 

CHAMPIONSHIP DETAILS

 

Dates: June 29-30, 2020

 

Site: Riverside Golf and Country Club | Portland, Ore.

 

Eligibility: Entries are open to female amateur golfers with Handicap Indexes of 22.4 or less and are members in good standing of an OGA Member Club. In the Women’s Division, entrants must be at least 13 years of age as of June 29, 2020. In the Senior Women’s Division, entrants must be at least 50 years of age as of June 29, 2020.

 

Format: 36-hole stroke play competition. In the event of a tie for the gross champion in either division, the winner will be decided immediately by a hole-by-hole playoff.

 

Entry Fee: $140

 

Entry Includes:

  • 3 rounds of golf - One practice round and two competitive rounds
  • OGA hosted lunch on Monday
  • Tee prizes
  • Gross and Net awards in both the Open and Senior Divisions
  • Special awards from Jones Sports Co. will be awarded to the Champions

 

Handicap: Course Handicaps are reduced according to USGA recommendations. Players receive 95% of Course Handicap to calculate the final Playing Handicap. Course Handicaps will be based on the June 26th Handicap Index.

 

Field Limit: The field will be limited to 72 players, including Women and Senior Women. Entries will be accepted according to the date and time of receipt of entry and entry fee.

 

Exemptions: Defending Champions Isabelle Taylor and Loree McKay will be eligible for guaranteed entry into the Championship (in their respective divisions only). Exempt players must meet the eligibility requirements and file an entry by the deadline.

 

Performance Points: Points for the 2020 Women's Stroke Play will count for the following team competitions: the 2021 PNGA Cup Team. All points awarded from the Women’s performance points schedule will count towards Senior Women’s points.
