FORMAT:  Individual Net. Contestants will play their own ball for 18 holes and will receive 100% of their course handicap. A player will compete based on his/her December 1st handicap revision or based on his/her Weekend Net Tour handicap index, whichever one is lower. The top overall finishers will receive gift card money to Golf Mart stores. Players are required to play from the designated tees based assigned by the NCGA for this event.

 

Tees:  (Tee assignment is required for the Championship)

Men: Bayonet GC: Blue Custom Tee (6,233 yards); Carmel Valley Ranch GC: Brown (6,117 yards)

Women: Bayonet GC: Red (5,229 yards); Carmel Valley Ranch GC: Lavender (5,230 yards)

 

Play will begin Saturday at 11:00 a.m. with a shotgun start. Registration will begin at 9:30 a.m. and go until 10:30 a.m., please register by no later than 10:30 a.m. and be at your carts ready to go at 10:45 a.m. for announcements. On Sunday tee times will begin at 8:30 a.m. off the No. 1 tee in 10 minute intervals. Please be at your assigned tee ready for play 10 minutes prior to your start time. All completed rounds will receive a point value based on where a player finishes, (please see Playoff Points Distribution sheet). Any “no-show,” “no-card,” or “disqualification” will result in no points being awarded to a player.

 

PACE OF PLAY & RULES: Please be sure to keep up with the group in front of you. Groups that miss their 18-hole checkpoint (finishing over the designated time and more than 14 minutes behind the group in front of them) are subject to a two-stroke penalty.  

Additionally, the USGA Rules of Golf are in effect. It is the player’s responsibility to have a working knowledge of the rules. For more information regarding the rules of golf players can visit the NCGA’s website: https://ncga.org/rules/

 

MAXIMUM SCORES:  The maximum score rule is NOT in affect. All players must hole out.

 

TIES: If there is a tie for first place at the completion of 36 holes, a sudden-death playoff will take place until a winner is determined. Ties for gift card prizes will be settled using USGA recommendations of a card off: best back 9 net score, best back 6 (net), best back 3 (net), followed by best 18th hole (net), finally, tie-break by coin-flip.

 

DRESS CODE & COURSE ETIQUETTEPlayers are to wear proper golf attire: no denim, no cut-off clothing, collared shirts, hats off inside the clubhouse, etc. Players should behave in an appropriate manner and avoid using foul language. The NCGA does have the right to remove anyone for not abiding by these rules at any time. Being removed from property would result in the loss of all funds.

 

CARTS: Carts are included for players both days of this event. Only two carts per group are permitted. NO SPECTATOR CARTS are allowed, unless previously approved by the committee.

 

PRO SHOP, GRILL & RANGE:  Bayonet: Pro shop opens at 7:00 a.m.; Driving Range opens at 7:30 a.m.; Carmel Valley Ranch: Pro shop opens at 7:00 a.m.; Driving range opens at 7:30 a.m.

 

SATURDAY RECEPTION DINNER: Player reception & taco bar will be held following Saturday’s first round at Bayonet GC grille at 4:30 p.m. and go until 6:00 p.m.
