AGES/ELIGIBILITY

Open to male amateur golfers age 25 or older as of May 15, 2020.

ENTRY FEE

$150

CHAMPIONSHIP FEE

Player’s advancing to the Championship will be responsible for a $175.00 Championship fee. This fee will be charged to the player upon being transferred to the Championship proper in the online registration system after your qualifying round has concluded.

FIELD SIZE

100 players’ maximum at this qualifying site.

FORMAT

18 hole individual stroke play qualifier. A total of 144 players will advance to the Championship proper. Qualifying places will be awarded according to a pro-rated formula.  You will be informed as to the number of qualifying places in your section the day of qualifying.

PRACTICE ROUND

One practice round per player. Practice rounds will be available on the designated times below two weeks prior to the competition. Please call Crystal Lake G & CC to reserve your practice round starting time after you have received your acceptance confirmation on March 12th.  Practice round cart and range fee is $30 plus tax. Cash and credit cards will be accepted.

  • Monday-Thursday, anytime based on availability.
  • Friday-Sunday, after 1:00 p.m., based on availability.

YARDAGES & TEES

The BLACK tee markers and yardages will be utilized for the qualifying round.  Yardages are approximate and may be adjusted due to inclement weather or other factors that may affect the playing conditions during the competition.

GOLF SHOP & DRIVING RANGE

The golf shop and driving range will open at 7:00 a.m. each day of competition.

STARTING TIMES

Starting times for tournament play will be assigned by the GSGA and posted at the club the day before the competition starts. You may visit www.gsga.org for complete pairing information and starting times beginning on March 23rd. 

REGISTRATION

No formal registration will be held on site.

CARTS

Practice carts and range fees are $30 plus tax. Tournament round cart and range fees are included in the entry fee. Cash and credit cards will be accepted.

RULES OF PLAY/PACE OF PLAY/CART POLICY

FOOD SERVICE

Food service will be available in the bar area from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Cash and credit cards will be accepted.

REFUND POLICY

A $30 service charge will be retained by the GSGA on all refunds granted prior to the close of entries.If a player notifies the GSGA of their withdrawal for the Amateur, Junior, Match Play or Mid-Amateur Championship after the close of entries, but one week prior to the date of their qualifier, they will be granted a refund of 50% of their entry fee. Withdrawals must be submitted to the GSGA Rules & Competitions Department either via phone or email.
