                           Partner Site: Thorncreek Golf Course (June 8 - 9)

 

Championship Dates: Monday, June 8 - Wednesday, June 10

 

Registration Window: March 6 - May 31

 

Entry Fee: $380 per team 

 

Field Size: 96 teams / 192 competitors. 

Note: Championship is filled on a first come, first served basis using the registration date and time. If a Championship is oversubscribed, a wait list will be maintained in case of cancellation.

 

Format: 4- Ball Matchplay – Each team is guaranteed two days of golf. Partners play their best ball against the better ball of the other team. Each flight has a consolation bracket for teams eliminated in the first round matches. All teams will play each course June 8-9 with final matches for the day 2 winners being played at Todd Creek GC on June 10. Teams forfeiting their first match will not be eligible to compete in consolation round matches. Matches that are tied after 18 holes will be extended to a hole-by-hole playoff to determine a winner. Teams are flighted according to team combined handicap index with approximately eight teams per flight.

 

Handicap Index Details: 30.0 maximum. 

Note: It is recommended that the partners play within six strokes of each other. If the difference between the two Playing Handicaps is greater than 6, the higher Playing Handicap will be reduced accordingly (new in 2020). All players will compete at 90% of course handicap (new in 2020).

 

During matches, the Playing Handicaps of all four players will be reduced by the Playing Handicap of the player with the lowest handicap, who shall then play at scratch. The other players are allowed the difference. All flights play with handicap except championship flight. 

 

Revision Date: June 1

 

Carts/Caddies: Carts are optional, included in the entry. Caddies are not allowed.

One Seat Policy: Each team will receive one cart. There will only ever be one person in the team’s cart at any time. The other partner may put any of their equipment on the cart for transportation but should not be in the cart at the same time as their partner.

 

Players may also choose to walk and carry their own bag or bring their own push cart.

 

Players requiring an accommodation for a disability may request a second golf cart for their team. This request must be sent into Kate Moore by Sunday, May 31st.  

 

Prizes: Merchandise gift certificates are awarded within each flight to the winners, runners-up and consolation winners. Championship flight winners receive team trophies in addition to merchandise gift certificates.

 

Practice Round Information: 

• Todd Creek GC Practice Rounds – Tee times are subject to availability, can be made 7 days in advance by calling Golf Professional Billy Bernhardt at 303-655-1779. When making a tee time, identify yourself as a Mashie participant to receive the pricing. Availability: Monday - Thursday anytime. Weekends and Holidays after 2:00pm only. Pricing: $45 including cart and warm up bucket of range balls.

Food & Beverage: CGA will NOT be providing lunch for players on any day, at either course. F&B allocated funds will go towards prizes. See below for each courses F&B options.

• Todd Creek: Food will be available for purchase at the player's responsibility. The snack shack will be available at 7:00 a.m. each morning for to-go orders only.
• Thorncreek: Food will be available for purchase at the player's responsibility. The restaurant will be available at 7:00 a.m. each morning for to-go orders only. Cash is not accepted.

 

Score Posting: Scores from match play events will NOT be posted by the CGA. The player may post their own score at the end of a round. The Tournament Director will always provide the applicable slope/rating for posting purposes.
