2020 CGA Women's Hickory Tournament

UPDATE 7.16.2020: The host facility and date for this tournament has changed from originally scheduled - New Site Perry Park CC.

Host Facility: Perry Park Country Club 

 

Tournament Date: Monday, August 24 

 

Cart/Caddies: Carts are included in entry. Caddies are not allowed.

Cart Policy: Double Rider. Two carts allocated per group. Paired in foursomes. 

Note: Players may wear masks while riding to feel more comfortable or utilize the “one-seat rule” where players put their equipment on the cart and walk while the other player drives the cart. Players can switch off doing this at any point during the round (between holes, nines, etc.). Players may walk the course with a push-cart (electric or otherwise). 

Note: Players within one flight of each other, either higher or lower based on the August 17th revision, can ask to ride with someone they know to feel more comfortable. Contact kmoore@coloradogolf.org. 

Note: If a player is uncomfortable riding with another player due to COVID related health reasons, please contact (kmoore@coloradogolf.org) as soon as possible as there are limited single carts available.   

 

Registration Window: May 26 - August 16

 

Entry Fee: $95 per competitor 

 

Field Size: 104 entrants. 

NOTE: Tournament is filled on a first come, first served basis using the registration date and time. If a tournament is oversubscribed, a wait list will be maintained in case of cancellation.

 

Format: 18 holes of individual stroke play –  All competitors are pre-flighted by Playing Handicap with approximately 16 players per flight. Overall Low Gross and Low Net winners will be crowned.

 

Handicap Index Details: New in 2020. 18.0 minimum and 36.0 maximum.

Note: All players will compete at 95% of course handicap (new in 2020).

Note: If you fall below a 18.0 between when you register and the revision date, you will no longer be eligible to participate. If your handicap goes above a 36.0, it will be reduced to a 36.0. 

 

Revision Date: August 17

 

Prizes: Merchandise gift certificates are awarded for the top gross and net finishes within each flight. Ties for Overall Low Gross and Overall Low Net winners will be determined by matching cards. All other ties, prize money is combined and divided equally among tied players.

COVID NOTE: Due to this event switching to tee times ties for Overall Low Gross and Overall Low Net will be determined by USGA matching cards.

 

Practice Round Information: Tee times are subject to availability on the dates listed below. Tee times can be made 6 days in advance by calling the golf shop at 303-681-3305. When making a tee time, identify yourself as a CGA Hickory participant to receive the pricing. Availability: August 6th, 17th, 18th, 19th, 20th ONLY. Pricing: $79, including cart and range balls.

Starting Time: Tee times off 1 & 10 beginning at 8:30am. 

COVID NOTE: This is a change from the prevously noted 7:30am shotgun start.

Food & Beverage: A boxed lunch will provided, included in entry.

Score Posting: The CGA will post scores for players.
