ENTRY FEE: $100
REFUND POLICY: Entry fee will be refunded regardless of reason if LGA office is notified, in writing, before the close of entries. After the close of entries, fee will be refunded only in the event of injury or illness provided notification (accompanied by a doctor’s statement) reaches LGA office by August 3rd, 2020. A $20 service charge will be deducted from all refunds.
Eligibility: Entries are open to the first 50 players that are members of the Louisiana Junior Golf Tour. Non-amateurs are not eligible. Entries are subject to rejection at any time (including during the championship) by the LGA. Reasons for rejection may include unbecoming conduct.
Field/Format of Play: 36 hole, stoke play. The boys division will compete from approximately 6,600 yards. The Girls division will compete from a forward tee approximately 5,700 yards.
Dress Code, Cell Phones: Competitors must be neat in appearance and wear appropriate attire. No gym shorts, cutoffs, blue jeans, tee shirts, etc. Shorts must be Bermuda length. Use of cell phones, including those used as Electronic Measuring Devices, is prohibited on the course during the competition (The Committee reserves the right to penalize a competitor for a breach of the policy regarding cell phone usage; See LGA Code of Conduct Policy). Important Note: The University Club is a spikeless facility and all competitors will be required to wear spikeless shoes.
Practice Privileges: Practice privileges are extended to participants in the championship at The Universtiy Club on Sunday, August 2. Please contact the golf shop to schedule your practice round.
Prizes: Crystal prizes will be awarded to the top three finishers in the Overall Boys division. The Girl's Champion will receive a crystal prize. The top two finishers in the Boys 11-13 division will receive a crystal prize.
Rules of Golf: Play will be governed by the current USGA Rules of Golf and LGA Rules of Play Card. All questions will be settled by the LGA Rules Committee, whose decision will be final. Automotive transportation (carts) and/or caddies will not be permitted.
