Format:
36 holes (18 holes per day) Mixed Chapman Stroke Play. In this format, two competitors play as partners as one side. Both players on a side tee off from their respective tees. Then Player A plays Player B's drive, and vice-versa. Players then select the better of the second shots, and from that point play alternate shot until the ball is holed.
Flights will be determined by combining the Handicap Index of both players on the team. Team Handicaps will be computed by combining 60% of the lower Course Handicap and 40% of the higher Course Handicap. The championship will be flighted and played using the February 28th revision.
If necessary, there will be a play-off to determine first place in each flight immediately following the conclusion of play. If a play-off cannot be conducted (decision of the Committee and golf course) the USGA method of matching cards will be used. Ties for second place and third place, in each flight, will be broken using the USGA method of matching cards.
Competition Schedule:
It will be a 10:30 am shotgun start on Friday, March 6th. Followed by an 8:30 am shotgun start on Saturday, March 7th. Please arrive at your carts 10 minutes prior to start time so we can get everyone to their starting holes on time.
Practice Round Information:
Contact the Golf Shop at 831-622-8239 to schedule a practice round. NCGA member green fees are $85 Monday-Thursday, $115 Friday - Sunday. Cart fee is $25 per rider (optional). Range balls are included in this fee.
Cart Fee Information:
Cart fee is included with your entry fee. Push carts will be available for player use as well.
The NCGA is committed to providing golfers with disabilities as much course access as the conditions allow. Please contact the host Head Professional to make requests for additional access at least one week prior to the event.
SPECTATOR CARTS ARE PROHIBITED.
A maximum of two carts per group is permitted.
Practice Balls:
Provided for players during competition rounds at no cost. The golf shop and practice range will open at sunrise.
Payment Information:
Cash, VISA, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express are accepted for all purchases (golf shop and food and beverage).
Food and Beverage Information:
Porter's Restaurant opens at 6:30am.
No outside food and beverage is permitted at either facility. To avoid losing position and penalty for slow play, we recommend all players order ready-made food at the grill or restaurant if doing so during their stipulated rounds.
Gate Clearance:
For Pebble Beach gate clearance, please state your name and the NCGA tournament you are playing in to the Pebble Beach Security personnel upon arrival at any gate to 17-Mile Drive.
Rules Information
Play-off:
The format is the same as the championship. Ties for first place will be broken by a hole-by-hole play-off. If a play-off cannot be conducted (decision of the Committee and the golf course) the USGA suggested method of matching cards will be used. Ties for second and third place will be broken using the USGA suggested method of matching cards.
Golf shoes – Model Local Rule G-7 is in effect.
Maximum Score – The maximum allowable score for a side on any hole is 10, Rule 21.2 applies.
Alternative to Stroke and Distance – Model Local Rule E-5 is in effect.
