Northern California Golf Association
2020 Weekend Net Tour
June 6, 2020
Player Information Sheet
Club Information (website/address): 1 McClure Way
Seaside, CA 93955
FORMAT: Four-Ball Net. Two partners compete as a side, with each playing a separate ball. The side’s score for a hole is the lower net score of the partners on that hole. Sides will be assigned to separate flights based off their combined handicap index as of their June 4th handicap. Per USGA guidelines all players will receive 85% of their course handicap*. The top finishers in each flight will receive gift card money to Golf Mart stores. Players are required to play from the designated tees, unless previously arranged and approved by the committee. All players in the E-Club division are required to play from the tee assignment.
*A separate division for sides where both players are members of E-Club South Bay will be established. This division is solely for the purposes of determining the sides who will qualify from that respective E-Club. Championship regulations stipulate a maximum handicap of 18.4 for any player. Gift cards will NOT be given out based on this division. All players will be shown in a separate division without this handicap maximum imposed, for purposes of awarding gift cards, skins, and WNT player of the year points.
TEES: (Alternate tee upon request if within 48 hours of the event, otherwise tee assignment is required)
Men: Custom Blue tees (6,250 yards, par 72; 71.0/131)
Women: Red tees (5,229 yards, par 72; 70.2/123)
Play will begin at 8:00 a.m. with tee times in 10-minute intervals off the No. 1 tee. Please be at your assigned tee ready for play 10 minutes prior to your start time. There you will go over scoring and other important procedures with the starter.
PACE OF PLAY & RULES: Please be sure to keep up with the group in front of you. Groups that miss their 18-hole checkpoint (finishing over the designated time and more than 14 minutes behind the group in front of them) are subject to a two-stroke penalty. In order to keep an adequate pace of play, players are asked to pick up once maximum score has been reached on a respective hole; failure to do so will result in a two-stroke penalty.
The Rules of Golf as approved by the USGA and the R & A are in effect. It is the player’s responsibility to have a working knowledge of the rules. For more information regarding the rules, players can visit the NCGA’s website: https://ncga.org/rules/
MAXIMUM SCORE: A gross 9 on any hole.
SERIOUS MISCONDUCT & DRESS CODE: A player who is removed from the course for Serious Misconduct will result in a loss of all funds and potentially a suspension from future events. Players and Caddies are to dress appropriately. For more information, please refer to the NCGA Weekend Net Tour Hard Card.
PLAYER OF THE YEAR: The top overall net scores will receive points on the Weekend Net Tour Player of the Year list for their finish, please look at the points distribution table on the Weekend Net Tour page for point allocations.
CARTS: Single-rider carts are available to all players, unless two players are from the same household, which in that situation the two players would share a cart.
DRIVING RANGE AND PRACTICE GREEN: The driving range and practice green are available for use. Social distancing will be required of all players when in these areas. To avoid overcrowding and to give everyone the opportunity to practice, players are to limit the amount of time at each area to no more than 15 minutes.
SPECTATORS AND CADDIES: In an effort to limit the number of people at the facility, spectators and caddies are not allowed. Spectators and caddies who show up at the facility will be asked to leave.
SKINS: An optional skins game may be available for the cost of $10. Details are still being worked out and more information will be announced prior to the event.
GIFT CARD DISTRIBUTION: The top performers in each flight will win gift cards to GolfMart stores. These will be distributed by email and will be done in batches, so gift card monies may not be received for up to 6 weeks. Please be sure your email in Golf Genius is up to date.
TIES: Ties for gift card prizes will be settled using USGA recommendations of a card off: best back 9 net score, best back 6 (net), best back 3 (net), followed by best 18th hole (net), finally, tie-break by coin-flip.
