FORMAT: 6-6-6 Partner Format. A side of two partners compete. For holes 1-6, sides will compete in a four-ball format, with each player playing their own ball and the best net score between the partners being counted on each hole. Per USGA recommendations, players will receive 85% of their course handicap for the four-ball format. When players arrive at the #7 tee, teams will begin to compete in an alternate-shot format, and will continue this format through hole 12. Sides will need to decide which player is Player A and which player is Player B. Player A will tee off on holes 7, 9, and 11, while Player B will tee off on holes 8, 10, and 12. Player A and B will alternate between making a stroke at the ball until the ball is holed during this six-hole stretch. A side’s handicap for the alternate-shot portion of the event will be 50% of the sum between the two partners. When players arrive at the #13 tee, sides will begin to compete in a two-person scramble format. Both players will tee off on each hole and then select the shot they wish to play. Both players will then play again from the chosen spot and continue this format until the ball is holed. The side’s handicap for the scramble portion of the event will be calculated by taking the 35% of the LOW handicap player and 15% of the HIGH handicap player. The sides with the lowest net 18-hole total in each flight will win gift cards to the Golf Mart stores. NO SKINS game will be offered. Handicap indexes from June 24th or a player’s tournament index, whichever is lower, will be used.
