WATSON CHALLENGE QUALIFIER PARTICIPANT WAIVER

What: Qualifier for entry into the Watson Challenge

 

The 2020 Watson Challenge is August 4-6 at The National Golf Club of Kansas City. 

 

 

Purpose: The Watson Challenge is the vision of Tom Watson with the purpose to determine the best player in the greater Kansas City golf community. The Watson Challenge has a field of 48 players, which is comprised of the best professionals and amateurs living in the greater Kansas City golf community. In order to play in the Watson Challenge, golfers must qualify at Stone Canyon on July 15.

 

Eligibilty:  All golfers MUST be a resident of the Greater Kansas City Metro area,  The counties of eligible residency are in Kansas: Johnson, Miami, Wyandotte and Leavenworth, and in Missouri: Jackson, Platte, Clay and Cass.

 

Points List:  The Top 16 amateurs on the 2020 Watson Points List automatically qualify for the Watson Challenge.  All events up to and including the Senior Match Play Championship to be concluded on July 12 will count towards the 2020 Watson Challenge.

 

 

Beneficiary: The First Tee of Greater Kansas City is the beneficiary of the Watson Challenge, whose mission is to impact the lives of young people in the local community by providing learning facilities and educational programs that promote character development and life enhancing values through the game of golf. To date this event has raised over $500,000 for the chapter’s scholarship fund. www.thefirstteekc.org

 

Tickets:

  • Tickets will also be available for purchase during the event and cost $25/ticket.
  • Each ticket is good for the entire three-day tournament.
  • All juniors 18 years of age and under do NOT need a ticket.
