2020 Women's Amateur Championship
Montaup CC - July 27-31, 2020
Eligibility: Amateur golfers who have an active RIGA/GHIN handicap and are RIGA Members or are a Rhode Island resident.
Tournament Format:
July 27- 31, 2020 - Montaup CC
Qualifying Round: 18 holes - Stroke play to determine match play qualifiers. Gross Scores used for seeding for the Championship & Net Divisions
In the event of a tie for the 16th place, there will be a sudden death playoff immediately following the completion of the Qualifying Round.
*You will be asked if you want to participate in the: Championship Gross Division or Net Championship Division during the registration process.
Brackets of 16
Example: If we have 20 ladies sign up for the Championship Gross Division - the 17th-20th seed will be placed into the Net Championship Division, based upon their Qualifying gross score.

Julie Greene Championship 16 - 16 players Gross
President's Bowl - 16 players Net
Past President's Bowl - 16 players Net
Association Bowl - 16 players Net
Note: if there are less than 64 entrants, the RIGA Committee will determine the number of flights.
Monday, July 27 - 18 holes Stroke Play with lunch included - Tee times beginning at 7:30
Tuesday, July 28 - Match Play - Round of 16
Wednesday, July 29 - Match Play - Quarterfinals
Thursday, July 30 - Match Play - Semifinals
Friday, July 31 - Match Play - Finals
Qualifying round scores will be posted as a "T" score by the RIGA
There is no handicap maximum, however 36.0 is the highest index a player can use.
Handicaps used will be July 27, 2020 for Net Divisions.
Entries - Form, Fee, Closing Date: Entrants are solely responsible for securing and returning completed entry form by the due date. Entries must be received at the RIGA office by July 19, 2020 and be accompanied by the entry fee of $80.00.
You may enter online using a credit card at www.rigalinks.org up until the entry deadline.
Cart and Caddie policy: Carts are permissible during play. An entrant is responsible to pay for their own cart fee throughout the tournament. A player may take a caddie or carry their own bag at any stage of the competition.
Dress Code: Proper dress is required at all times.
Spikeless shoes are mandatory.
Conditions/Schedules: The RIGA reserves the right to alter any of the conditions and schedules herein. The decision of the RIGA in any matter shall be final.
Important: Entries must be received by July 19, 2020. Completed entry form must be accompanied by entry fee of $80.00 (Made payable to RIGA). If you withdraw from an event after the registration deadline has closed, there will be no refunds given. You may find a substitution and work out payment between each other. No Faxed Entries.
