ENTRY PROCEDURE:  Contestants shall apply on official OGA entry blank or online at www.ohiogolf.org.  Entry fee refund available only for medical reasons after deadline date, August 17, 2020, 11:59 p.m.  Late or incomplete applications not accepted. No telephone entries. On-line entry is available at WWW.OHIOGOLF.ORG. All refunds are subject to a $15 service fee.

 

APPLICANTS:  Must be (1) a male who has reached their 25th birthday on or before August 24, 2020; (2) an active WHS index of 6.4 or less; (3) a resident of the State of Ohio.  In order to pay the member fee, entrant must have an active WHS Handicap Index at an OGA member club.  A list of member clubs may be found at www.ohiogolf.org. 

 

TOURNAMENT INFORMATION:  Championship field is 144 players

                Round 1 (18 holes)—Monday, August 24, 2020

                Round 2 (18 holes)—Tuesday, August 25, 2020 cut to the low 40 and ties after 36 holes. 

                Round 3 (18 holes)—Wednesday, August 26, 2020

                Springfield CC Shop credit awarded based on field size; top 5 and ties become exempt for 2021 Ohio Amateur Championship. 

 

REGISTRATION:  All players are required to register at Springfield CC prior to their first round tee time on Monday, August 24.

 

PRACTICE ROUND:  After entering, players may call Springfield CC to make a practice round tee time between August 11 and August 23. Practice rounds will cost $50 including cart.  Call 937-399-4215.

 

CADDIES:  A player must not have another player who has or will compete in the same round as his or her caddie during the round.  Penalty for breach of Local Rule:  The player gets the general penalty for each hole during which he or she is helped by such a caddie.  If the breach happens or continues between two holes, the player gets the general penalty for the next hole.  Modern Local Rule 8H.

 

SHOES:  During a round, a player must not wear shoes with

• Traditional spikes—that is, spikes having single or multiple points designed to penetrate deeply into the surface of the ground (regardless of whether made of metal, ceramic, plastic or other materials.)
• Spikes of any design that are entirely or partially made of metal, if such metal may come in contact with the course.

SPECIFICATIONS OF CLUBS AND THE BALL

List of Conforming Driver Heads:  Local Rules as prescribed in Section 8 of the Committee Procedures is in effect. Model Local Rule G-1.

List of Conforming Golf Balls:  Local Rule as prescribed in Section 8 of the Committee Procedures is in effect. Model Local Rule G-3.

 

PAIRINGS:  Pairings will be emailed to all contestants and posted to www.ohiogolf.org. All entries shall be deemed to be by invitation and are subject to OGA Board acceptance.

 

LUNCH:  Lunch included in entry fee Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday for contestants.  Only those making the 36-hole cut will receive lunch on Wednesday.

 

ENTRY FEE:  $240.00 MEMBERS The entrant hereby agrees to hold the OGA and the Springfield CC free and harmless from any and all claims that may be created by the

actions of the entrant. The entrant also certifies that he is a bona-fide amateur and has an active WHS Handicap Index at an OGA member club with an active WHS index of 6.4 or less.

 

ENTRY FEE:  $290.00 NON-MEMBERS The entrant hereby agrees to hold the OGA and the Springfield CC free and harmless from any and all claims that may be created by the actions of the entrant. The entrant also certifies that he is a bona-fide amateur, with an active WHS Handicap Index of 6.4 or less and a resident of Ohio.
