Memorandum to Contestants

Thank you for entering the 2020 State Amateur Championship. We welcome you as a contestant and trust your experience playing in an event conducted by the Wyoming State Golf Association will be enjoyable and one you will always remember.

 

The following information will help answer questions and explain many details before arriving in Riverton.  Please keep this memorandum for reference.

 

Notice of Withdrawal

If you must withdraw, notify the WSGA immediately.  Please call Dave Snyder at 307-250-3044.

Thursday, June 25	Call for Tee Times 11am – 5pm	Optional Practice Rounds Player Registration Available – Pay for Skins and Deuces (optional)
Friday, June 26	7:00 am 8:00 am	Practice Areas Open 1st Round Starting Times on Tee 1 & 10
Saturday, June 27	7:00 am 8:00 am	Practice Areas Open 2nd Round Starting Times on Tee 1 & 10
Sunday, June 28	7:00am 8:00am Following the Competition	Practice Areas Open Final Round – Tee 1 & 10 Awards Ceremony

Practice Rounds

If desired, those entered may contact Riverton Country Club to arrange a practice round.  Practice rounds are complimentary for registered competitors only.

 

 

 

 

 

Format Stroke Play – 54 Holes

Players will be placed in Flights based on Handicap index.

The lowest 54 Hole Score will be the 2020 Men and Women State Champions.

 

Handicaps will be based on the June 22nd Revision

 

Personal Effects

Please take care of your valuables.  Neither Riverton Country Club nor the WSGA can assume responsibility for articles lost or stolen.

 

Dress Code

All players must comply with the club dress code:  Collared shirt, blouse w/collar or sleeves, Bermuda length shorts.  NO Denim, T-Shirts, Cut-offs or Athletic Shorts.  Alternative Spikes are required.

 

Caddies and Carts

Must be taken care of in the golf shop before any play will be allowed.

 

Starting Times

It is your responsibility to be at the starting tee early.  An official clock will be present on the first and tenth tees with unofficial clocks in the practice area.
