Eligibility: Open to golfers ages 5-19 (see complete eligibility policy)


Targeted toward: The novice golfer. Players will be divided into age groups between boys and girls. Age groups: 7 and under, 8-9, 10-11, 12-13, 14-15, and 16-19. Players compete for the top two places in each age group. The coordinator has the right to adjust age groups based on total field size.

 

Tentative Yardages: The coordinator has the right to adjust age groups  and yardage based on total field size and course conditions.

  • Boys 16-18: 3,000
  • Boys 14-15: 3,000
  • Boys 12-13: 2,700
  • Boys 10-11: 2,000
  • Boys 8-9: 1,500
  • Boys 7 and under: 1,100

 

  • Girls 16-18: 2,500
  • Girls 14-15: 2,500
  • Girls 12-13: 2,300
  • Girls 10-11: 2,000
  • Girls 8-9: 1,500
  • Girls 7 and under: 1,100

 

Format: Individual stroke play, adult/junior, captain’s choice, other

  • Play in adult/junior events scheduled in each region.
  • Win your age group to qualify for the VSGA JGC Nine-Hole Championship.

Eligibility: Open to golfers ages 10-19 (see complete eligibility policy)


Targeted toward: The intermediate to advanced golfer. Intermediate and Player Rankings divisions offered for boys and girls. Players compete for the top place in each division and player rankings points.

 

Tentative Yardages: Actual yardages on the scorecard may vary due to course conditions, weather, and Committee discretion.

  • Boys Player Rankings: approximately 6,400 yards
  • Girls Player Rankings: approximately 5,400 yards
  • Boys Intermediate: approximately 5,400 yards
  • Girls Intermediate: approximately 5,000 yards

 

Format: Individual stroke play

  • Play courses you might not otherwise have access to while competing against players of similar ability.
  • Players can earn points towards the VSGA JGC Player Rankings to earn exemptions and/or qualify for the JGC Championship.
