Female <49 – Rating 68.7, 5372 Yards - Target Score = 82
Female >50 – Rating 68.7, 5372 Yards - Target Score = 84
PRACTICE ROUNDS
Monday to Friday only. There is no guarantee that practice rounds will be available as the tee is usually fully booked 5-7 days out. Please contact Trevor Hay, Tel: 519-927-9034 or thay@ospreyvalley.com Practice Round fee: $25 (includes cart) – one practice round per player.
SOCIAL DISTANCING MEASURES will be in place all day and MUST be practiced.
- No handshaking or elbow bumping is permitted.
- Maintain at least six feet of separation from everyone at all times
- Please bring your own hand sanitizer and use as often as you can, especially before and after using any washrooms.
- Signage to manage traffic flow is in place from the moment golfers arrive on property.
- All staff members have been trained on COVID-19 sanitation and safety protocols, including safely arriving to and departing from work and navigating common spaces. Staff will be taking precautionary measures, including wearing protective equipment, where necessary.
CADDIES
- Caddies are not permitted at this time.
SPECTATORS
- Spectators are not permitted at this time.
ARRIVAL TIME PRIOR TO EVENT
Players will be allowed to arrive no earlier than one (1) hour prior to their tee time in order to adequately warm up.
ARRIVALS AND CHECK-IN
- Greeting staff will be welcoming golfers upon arrival at TPC Toronto at Osprey Valley and providing detailed instructions, including where to park and when to proceed to the 1st tee.
- Golfers are asked to arrive no earlier than one (1) hour prior to their tee time.
- Golfers are asked to leave the property promptly following the completion of their round (unless you’re dining).
CHECK-IN WITH PLAYING ABILITY TEST CONVENER
Applicants are asked to check-in at the tee, while maintaining physical distance. Players will be sent in advance by electronic means a scorecard, pin sheet and rules sheet for the Playing Ability Test and MUST be printed off for use at the PAT.
SCORING: No exchange of scorecards between players before or after their round; final score verification will take place verbally by the 18th green.
- A final scoring area will be established using social distancing measures whereby you can check your scores and your playing partner can attest them.
- You will be asked to re-read your scores to your playing partners and to our team for verification.
- Please sign your own scorecard on the LEFT SIDE to attest for your playing partner’s score
- Please sign your own scorecard on the RIGHT SIDE to verify your own score that has been read by your scorer.
- Drop your scorecard into the box provided when all scores are verified.
- Scoring will be final once you have submitted your scorecard.
- Final results will be available online
WASHROOMS
- On-course washrooms will be open and will be sanitized by staff throughout the day.
- A washroom trailer will be available near the clubhouse and will be sanitized regularly by staff. All players are encouraged to make use of the washroom trailers before teeing off and at the turn.
- Commonly-touched surfaces, such as door handles and garbage bins will be disinfected regularly.
PROSHOP
A limited number of golfers will be permitted inside the Golf Shop at the direction of staff.
BUNKERS
- Bunker rakes, benches and ball washers have been removed from the course. Please repair your footprints by using your feet.
- TPC Staff will be maintaining bunkers throughout the day.
- ABNORMAL COURSE CONDITIONS will be in place. Disturbed areas in bunkers are ground under repair. If a player’s ball lies in or touches a disturbed area or if a disturbed area interferes with the player’s area of intended swing (does not include the player’s stance), the player may take relief under Rule 16.1c.
FLAGSTICKS
- The flag will remain in at all times – DO NOT REMOVE THE FLAG!
- A mechanism to safely retrieve golf balls from holes without touching flagsticks has been installed. All golfers are asked to refrain from touching the flagsticks.
CARTS AND ON-COURSE EQUIPMENT
- Competitors may walk or make arrangements with the host club for use of a motorize golf cart. Players must adhere to the host facility cart rules. Carts will be available - $18.00 plus HST.
- Golf Carts will be available for single riders only
- Carts will be sanitized prior to and after use by staff and will be available for golfers to pick up in a safe, physically-distanced protocol.
- A limited number of complimentary push carts will be available.
EVACUATION PLAN
- Should a weather event take place that requires golfers to evacuate the golf course, please return to your personal vehicles immediately following a suspension of play in an effort to prohibit large gatherings.
FOOD & BEVERAGE
- Food & Beverage service is available through the Take-Out Window and outdoor table service on the Back Patio.
- Table service will be in operation from 10:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
- Socially-distanced tables have been arranged on the Back Patio. Please do not move tables closer together.
- Please wait to be seated: Staff will direct guests on where to sit.
- NO ALCOHOL OR SUBSTANCES PERMITTED BEFORE OR DURING YOUR ROUND
RULES OF GOLF; CLOSE OF COMPETITION; CONFORMING GOLF BALLS; CONFORMING DRIVERS
- Golf Canada's Rules of Golf will govern all play. The PGA of Ontario Tournament Rules Committee shall have the final decision on all claims and disputes.
- Only brands of golf balls on the most current List of Conforming Golf Balls may be used.
- Any driver selected for play must have a clubhead that is listed on the most current List of Conforming Driver Heads.
TRAVEL
- The PGA of Ontario assumes no responsibility for entrants' travel arrangements. The PGA of Ontario advises entrants not to book travel or room arrangements prior to confirmation of tournament acceptance unless those arrangements can be cancelled without penalty.
GROOVE SPECIFICATIONS
The Local Rule for groove and punch mark specifications, effective January 1, 2010, has been adopted as a condition of competition for all PGA of Ontario events. DRESS CODE
- Competitors must adhere to the PGA of Ontario Dress Code which is also available in the competitor registration package.
TIME OF STARTING
- Starters will provide detailed instructions to each group on how to proceed throughout the course.
- Groups will be asked to play between 4 hours and 4 hours, 10 minutes. In order to safely maintain each group’s position throughout the property, playing through will not be permitted. We encourage all groups to enjoy their time on the course.
- All players in a group must be present and READY TO PLAY at the time laid down by the Committee. READY TO PLAY is defined as being on or near the player's first tee accompanied with the necessary equipment needed to put a ball in play. Should players not be ready to play, they will not be permitted to participate.
THE USE OF CONTRABAND SUBSTANCES AND THE CONSUMPTION OF ALCOHOL DURING COMPETITION
The use of contraband substances and the consumption of alcohol during the course of play of a PGA of Ontario Playing Ability Test and/or Tournament event is strictly prohibited. Any player found in breach of this rule will be deemed to have conducted themselves in a manner unbecoming of a Member of our Association and will face a penalty set forth by the Tournament Committee
MEASURING DEVICES
A player may obtain distance information by using a device that: MEASURES DISTANCE ONLY
However, if a distance measuring device has additional functionality that can gauge or measure other conditions that might affect a player’s play (e.g. elevation change, wind speed, etc.), the use of any such additional function would be a breach of Rule 4.3a.
ELECTRONIC AUDIO OR VIDEO DEVICES
During a round, a player must not listen to or watch content of any nature on a personal audio or video device. Rule 4.3

- Penalty for first breach from single act or related acts: Two Strokes
- Penalty for second breach unrelated to first breach: Disqualification

PASSING THE PLAYING ABILITY TEST - SUCCESSFUL APPLICANTS
Upon successful completion of your Playing Ability Test you will receive a communication from the PGA of Canada regarding next steps.
