It's with great pleasure that I announce to you the second annual HOPE worldwide Midwest Golf Classic! Last year we raised over $10,500 that ultimately covered the program’s entire operating budget! As a result of your participation and generous donations, the program was able to help 26 inner-city youth in many different areas including a measured 23% improvement in their positive decision-making skills!

 

 This year’s event will take place on Monday, June 24th at the beautiful Chevy Chase Golf Club in Wheeling IL.

 

 The Golf Classic is designed to raise money for the HOPE worldwide and Chicago Church of Christ Skyline After-School Program.

 

 We have all heard for years now of the heartbreaking violence going on Chicago's South and Westside neighborhoods. So many of us have desired to help but have no idea of what to do. Thankfully, the leadership of the Chicago church acted and created a think tank that worked together to figure out the best course of action.  After much research and discussion, the Skyline After-School Program was born! The program harnesses the power of its volunteers, college interns, and full-time staff to provide homework tutoring, social-emotional development courses, and fun electives for inner-city middle school students on Chicago’s westside.

 

 We hope you're able to be one of the many volunteers that can come to Chicago and help, however, we know that's not always possible. But Good News!! You can PLAY GOLF!! I call it Golf4Good!

 

 This Golf outing provides you with many ways to help raise funds. There are sponsorships of many kinds as well as numerous challenges during the event. Various honors and prizes will be given out during the awards dinner following the round which include:

                                      -Longest Drive

                                     -Closest to the pin

                                     -Longest putt

                                     -Best Team Score

                                     -And More!

 

 The round will also include:

                                       -Putting Contest

                                       -Chip-in-the-Boat Contest

                                       -Hole-In-One Prize of $10,000 on Hole 13

                                       -Hole-In-One Prizes of $500 on the other par 3's

                                       -Wager Hole that doubles your money!

 

Our first Golf Classic was a great success seeing 43 golfers have a great time for a great cause. This year, we're hoping to have 72 golfers. However, the course can handle 144, so don't hold back!
