Athletes in Action (AIA), a Christian sports ministry, is active on college campuses and in cities

throughout the US and around the world. Locally, AIA staff serve eight pro teams and four universities.

Athletes active with AIA use their platforms to be positive influences. Their message of

faith and efforts to reinforce good character help lay a moral foundation in the lives of young people.

Whether it’s a father/son breakfast, a sports clinic, or a school assembly, AIA seeks opportunities for

athletes to make a difference. A sample list of local athletes involved with the AIA programs include: Joe Girardi, Mark Teixeira, Chase Headley, and Dustin Ackley of the Yankees; Wes Richburg, Rashad Jennings, Andre Williams, and Devon Kennard, of the Giants; and Luis Robles of the Red Bulls. AIA does not charge organizations or schools for their programs. The pros donate their time. Administrative, transportation, and training expenses incurred by staff and players are covered through fundraising efforts such as the Ironman of Golf. Thank you for your involvement in this year’s outing.
