CAPTAIN RESPONSIBILIES

 

  1. The Executive Committee is comprised of all Team Captains: A, B, & C.

 

  1. Co-Captains shall assume the duties if the Captain is unable to perform her obligations.

 

  1. All matters or questions needing assistance (i.e. rules, defaults, procedure, weather etc.) should be taken up with your respective Captain of Captains for A, B, & C.

 

  1. Determine a list of 16 qualified players.  Use Indexes from Thursday morning in week prior to match.  Assign the lowest 8 Hdcp indexes to A Team. The next 8 Hdcp indexes to B Team.  C Team according to agreed upon procedure.

 

  1. Notify all players and verify their ability to attend each team match. Arrange transportation.

 

  1. BY END OF DAY TUESDAY IN WEEK OF TEAM MATCH:

Complete your TEAM ROSTER and send a copy to:

    1. Team Captain for opposing Team
    2. Club Pro of Host Club

Use the most current Hdcp Index (as of Thursday week prior to Match) and determine their factored Hdcp according to the HOST COURSE SLOPE RATING. The lowest index will be player #1, continuing on through player #8.

 

  1. IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWING MATCH COMPLETE  SCORE SHEET & FOOD BILLING:

1-Copy for Your Team.

1-Copy with Match Results given to the Captain of Captains.

1-Copy to your Club for Food and Golf Cart Billing

 

  1. If an emergency causes a player or team to default, notify your respective Captain of Captains as soon as possible.

Note: Article III, Section 4: an entire A or B team defaulting play one time shall result in the suspension of the Club from the UCCLGTA for an entire year. Remember the substitution procedure only applies to B & C Teams.

 

 

  1. Turn in scores to the Captain of Captains as soon as possible at the end of the round.

 

  1. Report any questions or unusual events at the end of the round to your Captain of Captains.

 

  1. Team Captains are responsible to ensure all scores are posted by each Team member by end of day on day of Match.  It is strongly suggested scores be posted by individual players at lunch.

 

  1. Save all signed score cards for possible future reference. Once score cards have been turned in, scores may not be changed.
