120th WPGA Amateur Championship Qualifying

This notice serves as confirmation for WPGA Amateur Qualifying on Monday, June 22, 2020 at The Country Club of Meadville. Qualifying is 18 holes with a field of 51 Players. The number of spots the field will be playing for is eight (8) and two (2) alternates. Additional information will be distributed on the first tee.

 

Format: 18 holes of stroke play with a field of 51 players. Play is governed by the USGA Rules of Golf and any Local Rules and Conditions distributed prior to play. In the event of a tie for the final qualifying spot or any alternate, the USGA Tie Breaking Method (Last 9, Last 6, Last 3, Last 1) will be used to break all ties.

 

Practice: Practice rounds can be scheduled by contacting the golf shop at 814-724-7423. The Golf Professional is Mike Ferry. Practice rounds are available at the discretion of the golf shop. Practice round fees are the responsibility of the player. Practice rounds will be at a cost of $45 and must be paid for in cash or reciprocal.

 

Tee Markers: All play is from the WPGA tee markers (Approximately 6,700 Yards). Yardages will be contingent on course conditions.

 

Transportation/Caddies:  Automotive transportation is permitted for the qualifier and is included in the entry fee. The WPGA will accomodate single rider carts on a first come first serve basis. Push Carts are permitted for the Qualifier and Championship. Caddies are not permitted.

 

Lodging: Lodging of various price ranges can be found in the Meadville, PA area. You may also create an account with Affinity Travel Benefits here and find lodging close to the tournament site on the Association Tournaments tab.

 

Food: The WPGA provides water on course, coffee & juices prior to the competition and lunch will be available for purchase after the competition. All other food and beverage charges are the responsibility of the player.

 

Footwear: METAL CLEATS ARE PROHIBITED. THE PENALTY IS DISQUALIFICATION.

 

Pace of Play: The maximum allowable time will be four hours and twenty minutes (4:15). The Pace of Play Policy can be found HERE.

 

Spectator Info: No spectator will be allowed based on the WPGA COVID-19 Guidlines. Directions to the club can be found on the The Country Club of Meadville website.
