Due to the COVID pandemic, the Trump National Doral facility requires all guests and associates to wear face coverings both indoors and outdoors. A face covering includes covering both your nose and your mouth. This is to be worn at all times. As a spectator you are required to wear the face covering while walking the golf course. Participants that are playing can remove their face covering while playing on the golf course.

 

  • All guests are required to practice social distancing guidelines both indoors and outdoors.
    •  Keep a six-foot distance to people around you.
    • Do not share clubs or other equipment.
    • Do not shake hands before or after your round.
  • Please do not congregate in the parking lot, putting green, driving range or around the first tee.

 

 

GOLF CARTS: There will be a limited number of golf carts available. They will be distributed on a first come, first serve basis. Once our allotment of carts for the event are sold, there will be no more available. There is only one person allowed per cart. Only exception is made when two people belong to the same household.

 

DRESS CODE: All participants will be required to wear appropriate golf clothing. Tank tops, cut-off shorts, tennis shorts, bathing suits, blue jeans, hats worn backwards are not acceptable attire.  Male participants must wear a tucked in collared shirt. All contestants are reminded that Trump National Doral has mandated a spikeless shoe policy on all courses.  It is suggested that you carry with you a pair of spikeless golf shoes.  If not, you may be refused permission to compete in this championship.

 

MANDATORY REGISTRATION*: All participants must register in person to be eligible for participation in the tournamentTHERE ARE NO EXCEPTIONS.  Registration area will be located at the Imperial Ballroom.

CADDIES: Caddies are only allowed for 13 & Under age divisions. Hand Carts are allowed.  You must furnish your own hand carts - Trump National Doral has none.  

 

DRIVING RANGE INSTRUCTIONS:       DUE TO THE NUMBER OF PLAYERS PARTICIPATING AND THE LIMITED NUMBER OF HITTING SPOTS ON THE RANGE, WE MUST LIMIT THE NUMBER OF BALLS AND TIME YOU HAVE TO WARM UP.  PLAYERS WILL BE GIVEN 30 BALLS AND 15 MINUTES MAXIMUM TO WARM UP.  PLAYERS  MUST ARRIVE AT THE RANGE BETWEEN 30-60 MINUTES BEFORE THEIR SCHEDULED STARTING TIME.  PLAYERS WILL NOT  BE ALLOWED TO WARM UP IF THEY ARRIVE LESS THAN 30 MINUTES BEFORE THEIR SCHEDULED TEE TIME.  RANGE OPENS AT 6:30 A.M.  NO PARENTS OR COACHES ALLOWED ON PRACTICE RANGE WITH PLAYERS.

 

**PARENTAL INVOLVEMENT CONTRARY TO THIS RULE MAY RESULT IN PLAYERS DISQUALIFICATION.**

 

GOLF COURSE RULES:  During tournament play, parents, guardians, friends and other spectators must remain at least 25 yards from players (10 yards from greens) and must not give advice, assistance or converse with players.  Only the Tournament Committee and players will make all decisions on rules and problems that arise.    The Committee has the right to withdraw an entry of a player at any time for any reason.  Range finders with distance only will be allowed. Do not touch the flagstick. Once the ball is in the hole, retrieve the ball with your hands without touching the flagstick.

 

DISTURBED AREAS IN BUNKERS:  When rakes have been removed from the course, players are entitled to relief under Rule 16.1c from disturbed areas in bunkers for lie of ball and area of intended swing only. Disturbed areas are footprints, depressions and other non-smooth areas caused by other players. In taking relief under Rule 16.1c a ball must be dropped in the bunker within one club-length of the nearest point of complete relief not nearer the hole. For a one-stroke penalty, a ball may be dropped outside the bunker using the Back-On-The-Line Relief option.

 

PLAYOFFS:  Trophies will be awarded for First, Second and Third Place in each age group.  In case of ties there will be a playoff for First Place Only.  If there are more than two people tied for first place there will be a playoff for all three spots. If no ties for First exist, Second and Third places will be determined by matching cards on the basis of the best score for the last nine holes.  If still tied, the winner will be determined by the last nine holes, last six holes, last three holes and finally the players final hole.  If ties continue, the process of matching cards hole-by-hole starting with the 17th hole and going backward will continue until the tie is broken.   

Trophies will be presented immediately after completion of round at the scoring area.

 

 

PACE OF PLAY: The Championship Pace of Play Policy utilizes a two checkpoint system. Please note: 

  • Players will not receive warnings.
  • Each group is responsible for monitoring their own pace.
  • To avoid penalty, groups must complete each checkpoint hole:
    1. Under the allotted time, or
    2. Within 15 minutes of the group ahead.
  • Checkpoints will be on holes #9 and #18, unless otherwise indicated.
  • All players in a group in breach of the pace of play policy at any checkpoint are subject to penalty.
  • For all 7 & Under age groups, continuous putting will be in affect.
