The Bermuda Championship Local Qualifier competition will be held Port Royal Golf Club on Tuesday, 13th & Wednesday, 14th October, 2020. It is intended to provide an opportunity for Bermudian amateur and professional players to qualify for three qualifying places and three alternate places in the Bermuda Championship (PGA TOUR event) which is scheduled to be played at Port Royal Golf Course from Thursday, 29th October – Sunday, 1st November (Note – alternates will only be used to replace local players in the Championship event).

ELIGIBILITY
Entries are open to Amateur and Professional players and applicants for reinstatement. To be eligible to compete in the local qualifying event, participants must meet the following criteria:
i)     Players must possess Bermudian status.
ii)    Players must be in good standing with the BGA and BPGA and not subject to any disciplinary process or
       sanction of either Association.
iii)   Amateurs and applicants for reinstatement must have an up-to-date handicap index, or equivalent handicap
       issued from an international body of golf, not exceeding 1.4 under the USGA Handicap System.

       Note: A player’s current eight counting handicap scores cannot include scores prior to October 1, 2019.
 

FORMAT
The event is a 36-hole individual stroke play competition.  Players will be paired in groups of three and all participants will play:

SCHEDULE
Round 1 – Tuesday, 13th October, 2020 – Tee times will begin at 10.00am.
Round 2 – Wednesday, 14th October, 2020 – Tee times will begin at 10.00am.
