FORMAT: Four-Ball Net. Two partners compete as a side, with each playing a separate ball. The side’s score for a hole is the lower net score of the partners on that hole. Sides will be assigned to separate flights based off their combined handicap index as of their October 22nd handicap or tournament index, whichever is lower. Per USGA guidelines all players will receive 85% of their course handicap. The top finishers in each flight will receive gift card money to Golf Mart stores. Players are required to play from the designated tees, unless previously arranged and approved by the committee.
TEES: (Alternate tee upon request must be made by October 19, otherwise assignment is required)
Men: Senior Division (55-64) – Double Magnum Tees (approximately 6,157 yards, par 72; 70.4/124); Super Senior Division (65 and older) – Magnum Tees (approximately 5,846 yards, par 72; 69.0/122)
Women: All – Bottle Tees (Approximately 5,219 yards, par 72; 69.4/119)
Play will begin at 8:30 a.m. with tee times in 10-minute intervals off the No. 1 tee. Please be at your assigned tee ready for play 10 minutes prior to your start time. There you will go over scoring and other important procedures with the starter.
PACE OF PLAY & RULES: Please be sure to keep up with the group in front of you. Groups that miss their 18-hole checkpoint (finishing over the designated time and more than 14 minutes behind the group in front of them) are subject to a two-stroke penalty. In order to keep an adequate pace of play, players are asked to pick up once maximum score has been reached on a respective hole; failure to do so will result in a two-stroke penalty.
The Rules of Golf as approved by the USGA and the R & A are in effect. It is the player’s responsibility to have a working knowledge of the rules. For more information regarding the rules, players can visit the NCGA’s website: https://ncga.org/rules/
MAXIMUM SCORE: A gross 9 on any hole.
SERIOUS MISCONDUCT & DRESS CODE: A player who is removed from the course for Serious Misconduct will result in a loss of all funds and potentially a suspension from future events. Players and Caddies are to dress appropriately. For more information, please refer to the NCGA Weekend Net Tour Hard Card.
PLAYER OF THE YEAR: The top overall net scores in both divisions will receive points on the Senior Series Player of the Year lists (Senior or Super Senior Division) for their finish, please look at the points distribution table on the Senior Series page for point allocations.
CARTS: Double-rider carts with plastic dividers between driver and passenger are available to all players, unless two players are from the same household then a cart without a divider may be available. Walking is allowed and at the player’s discretion.
DRIVING RANGE AND PRACTICE GREEN: The driving range and practice green are available for use 40 minutes prior to a player’s tee time. To avoid overcrowding and to give everyone the opportunity to use these areas, players are to limit the amount of time at each area to a maximum of 15 minutes.
SPECTATORS AND CADDIES: In an effort limiting the number of people at the facility, spectators and caddies are not allowed. Spectators and caddies who show up at the facility will be asked to leave.
SKINS: An optional skins game will be available for the cost of $10. Players must bring exactly $10 to drop in the cash box. Change will not be distributed, and no cash will be awarded post round.
GIFT CARD DISTRIBUTION: The top performers in each flight will win gift cards to GolfMart stores. These will be distributed by email and will be done in batches, so gift card monies may not be received for up to 6 weeks. Please be sure your email in Golf Genius is up to date.
TIES: Ties for gift card prizes will be settled using USGA recommendations of a card off: best back 9 net score, best back 6 (net), best back 3 (net), followed by best 18th hole (net), finally, tie-break by coin-flip.
