Note: Masks are required in and around the clubhouse area at Poppy Hills GC, or any circumstance where it is not possible to maintain social distancing.
FORMAT
Play will be conducted in the same manner as all regular season play, using the Monday, November 16th, 2020 current numeric index. In the event of a tie at the end of a round, there will be a play-off involving only the #1 Two-Man Team from each club. If a “sudden death” play-off cannot begin or be concluded due to unplayable conditions, the Committee shall, under equity (Rule 20.3), declare co-champions.

PLAYER CART INFORMATION
Practice Round: Carts will be limited to one rider per cart, but team members may have two bags per cart. The original rider may be the only one to drive the cart. This is to maintain social distancing protocols and help with cross-contamination. A maximum of two carts per group allowed.

PULL OR PUSH CARTS
Pull or push carts are permitted; the club has a limited number for rent.
CADDIES
Caddies are not permitted in NCGA Championships at this time.
PAYMENT INFORMATION
Credit cards only are accepted for all payments on site, including equipment and food and beverage. No cash will be accepted.
DRIVING RANGE
The driving range is open and spaced for safe distancing. Poppy Hills range will open at 6:45 AM and will have limited spots available. You will have 10 minutes on the driving range and 10 minutes on the practice putting green to warm up. Players will not be allowed on the range more than 30 minutes before their scheduled tee time and 20 minutes before on the putting green.
TEES AND YARDAGES
Men will play from the WHITE set of tee markers and women will play from the RED set of tee markers. However, if Team Captains MUTUALLY AGREE PRIOR TO THE DATE OF THE MATCH, a different set of markers may be used for select groups. Please refer to separate Yardage Sheet for hole-by-hole yardages.
CLUBHOUSE
Only Poppy Hills staff are permitted inside the clubhouse due to county restrictions.
DRESS CODE
Players must be properly attired in golf shirts, slacks, Bermuda-length dress or golf shorts and soft spike shoes. Jeans (any color or any kind), T-shirts and tank tops will not be permitted. Shirts must be tucked in and hats are to be worn forward at all times.
FOOD AND BEVERAGE (PLAYERS ONLY)
A hosted grab and go lunch will be available on Saturday for players served out of the Snack Bar. Lunch will be available for pick up from 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM.
NOTE: Food and beverage may be purchased from the available dining facilities during the practice round. Only credit cards will be accepted (please no cash).
PLAYER GUEST INFORMATION
Players are entitled to one guest who may follow them throughout the round. Guests must adhere to the dress code listed within this document and must walk. NO CARTS will be available for player guests. If guests have any questions leading up to the event, please contact the NCGA Rules and Competitions Department at (831) 625-4653.
FOOD AND BEVERAGE (PLAYER GUESTS)
Guests may purchase food and beverage items from the snack bar. Credit cards only are accepted for all purchases.
RULES OF PLAY
Please review the COVID Safety Procedures for Team Match. Be aware that protocols may change based on current county and/or state mandates.
The championship involves both Four-Ball and Individual Match Play. Because of this, certain special rules apply and are covered in the 2020 NCGA Team Match Rules of Play.

The Notice to Players (Local Rules), Hole Locations and Scorecards will be emailed to Team Captains on the day prior to the championship. None are required to be printed out. No paper material will be provided or available on site.
PLAYER CODE OF CONDUCT
When playing in NCGA Championships, the player understands that his/her participation is at the sole discretion of the NCGA. A player may be removed from any competition at the discretion of the NCGA staff or Rules and Competitions Committee at any time before or during the competition. Incidents of unbecoming conduct or actions deemed to be detrimental to the image of the NCGA or the “Spirit of the Game” are grounds for such removal and suspension from future NCGA competitions. These include, but are not limited to the following:
- Willful damage of the golf course or golf course property
- Club throwing or unnecessary club tossing
- Offensive or unbecoming language
- Public criticism of golf course or verbal abuse of NCGA/SCGA staff, officials, volunteers, host club staff or other contestants
- Potential endangerment of others
- Conduct deemed unbecoming
- Failure to post scores for handicapping purposes
- Manipulation of scores posted for handicapping purposes
