Charity Challenge

The Charity Challenge is an additional and optional charitable component that is accessible to any team during the 2021 CGA Four-Ball Championship hosted by Legacy Ridge Golf Course. The Charity Challenge does not supersede the main competition of the CGA Four-Ball Championship, but rather is an opportunity for teams to help raise funds for CGA-supported junior golf programs.

Benefitting Program

All proceeds will go to Youth on Course - Colorado. See additional program information below.

Fundraising Mechanics

Participating players will create an online profile (pledgeit.org) and solicit donations from their peer networks. Youth on Course - Colorado

Youth on Course is a program that exists to eliminate one of golf's biggest barriers for young people-- cost. Every kid deserves an affordable way to access the game that goes beyond the driving range. Youth on Course allows youth under the age of 19 to play rounds of golf for $5 or less at participating facilities. The remainder of the junior green fees are subsidized back to the facility by the Junior Golf Alliance of Colorado.

Youth on Course began in Colorado in 2018. That year, there were 670 rounds played, resulting in $3,936 of subsidy to Colorado courses. In 2020, there were 3,746 rounds played, resulting in $20,762 of subsidy to Colorado courses. In just two years, the program experienced more than 400% growth.

The recent surge in the interest and demand for golf leads to predictions that this type of growth will continue. As we all work together to grow and diversify the game of golf, your generous donations help us keep it affordable for the next generation!
