Maderas Player’s Cup Series 2021 Hard Card
Play is governed by the USGA Rules of Golf and by the following Local Rules and definitions where applicable. Any changes and additions to these Local Rules will be provided on a separate addendum.
Local Rules:
- Native rule: Treat native hillsides and woodlands as penalty areas. Take a drop with a one stroke penalty.
-Ex: Left of #5, right of #14, right of #16, left and right of #18
- Fencing: Split rail fencing, lodge poles and rock walls (Hole 8) are immovable obstructions. Lift and drop within one club-length of the nearest point of relief not closer to the hole (no penalty).
- Ball coming to rest within flower bed.
- Ball coming to rest inside fenced oak trees.
- Out of Bounds: Defined by the nearest inside points of white stakes, fence posts, masonry walls, and/or white lines at ground level. When out of bounds is fixed by a white line on the ground, the line itself is out of bounds. All public roads are deemed out of bounds and if not otherwise marked, the nearest edge of the concrete/asphalt, or curbing shall be the boundary. If a ball crosses a public road and comes to rest on another part of the course, it is deemed out of bounds.
- Driving Range - marked with white stakes.
- Road left of Hole 3; Road left of Hole 6 (if a competitor is doubtful of whether their ball went OB, they may, without penalty, complete the hole with two balls. Upon completion of the round, bring it to the rules officials before signing scorecard).
- Pace of Play
- Once cart reads 15 minutes behind pace/ one hole behind, a warning will be issued.
- Once a warning has been issued, must play next hole in 15 minutes or less, or incur a One-stroke penalty. (If pace issue is out of group’s control, golf shop professionals can waive penalty.)
- Allowed time to look for ball is 3 minutes, then must continue with the proper play.
- Ground Under Repair: Areas enclosed with white lines. French drains are also considered ground under repair.
