Flights A and B will start at Sierra View CC on October 27 and flights C and D will start at Serrano CC on October 27 and then switch courses on October 28.  Some teams in the middle of the field could possibly be notified that their starting course has been changed.  This change would be necessary if we had late cancellations or handicap index revisions that affect the tournament field.  All notifications of such changes will be made via email at least two days prior to the start of the tournament.

Format:  The format will be Better Ball of the twosome, Stableford scoring (85% handicap).

• Awards:  Equal gross and net awards in each flight

• Wednesday 1:00 p.m. shotgun start and Thursday 8:30 a.m. shotgun at both courses.

All necessary paperwork will be emailed to you no later than October 22.  No paper materials will be provided or available on site.  Please print out and bring with you the following:

Wednesday Dinner:  

Serrano:  Buffet – Stuffed pork loin, mashed potatoes, Serrano salad, seasonal veggies, rolls, butter, cheese cake.

Sierra View:  Fresh baked assorted artesian rolls and butter,  hearts of romaine with house made artesian croutons, baby heirloom grape tomatoes and assorted dressings; SV Spring salad (local mixed field green with tomato, candied walnuts, feta cheese, roasted orange segments and fresh berries with a strawberry citrus vinaigrette); Grilled and roasted organic chicken breast seasoned with fire roasted peaches; grilled salmon filets with lemon and dill and a light white wine butter sauce; Santa Maria seasoned tri-tip with a sweet and rich BBQ demi-glace; assorted desserts and Sierra View’s famous fresh baked cookie and ice cream sandwiches.

 

Thursday Breakfast:  

Serrano:  Eggs, bacon, pastries, fruit, breakfast potatoes, coffee, orange juice.

Sierra View:  House made scones; fruit and berry salad; red potatoes; crispy bacon; house scrambled eggs finished with your choice of ground sausage, cheddar and jack cheese, tomatoes, sauteed mushrooms and green onions; blueberry sourdough baked French toast with candied pecans, fresh whipped cream and warm maple syrup, juices, water and coffee.

 

Thursday Lunch:

Serrano:  Chicken Schnitzel, Caesar salad, veggie platter, potatoes au gratin, rolls, butter, cookies

Sierra View: Fresh baked assorted artesian rolls and butter; seasonal saute of fresh vegetables; southern style ginger slaw; caprese salad with heirloom tomatoes, fresh basil, garlic, and mozzarella tossed in a balsamic reduction with extra virgin olive oil; sharp cheddar, creamy jack and parmesan lobster mac-n-cheese; house made chicken parmesan roll; rosemary grilled pork chop finished with an apple chutney; Sierra View’s endless ice cream bar.  

 

Players will be responsible to bring their own refillable water bottle.

Practice Facilities:

The driving range opens at 7:00 a.m. at both clubs.

 

Scoring:

We will use mobile scoring for the event and not digital scoring.  Only ONE (1) player in the group will need to keep score for the foursome.  You must have the Golf Genius or USGA Tournament Management App loaded on your cell phone. Your group GGID can be found on your scorecard and the pairings when we send those.  Make sure your phones are charged as you will be keeping score throughout the round.

WHEN ROUND IS COMPLETED - At the end of the round, all players in the group must report any rules issues to the committee and confirm hole-by-hole scores are correct with each other.

CANCELLATION POLICY

• After the online cancellation closes (September 27) - refund minus $35
