Age Limit: Must be 50 years old on or before July 8, 2021

 

Walking Only Event: The U.S. Senior Open and its qualifiers are walking only events, players may carry their bag or have a caddie. Players or player's caddie may use a push cart. Players may not ride in a motorized cart.

 

Format: 18 holes of stroke play

 

Qualifying Positions: 2

 

Alternate Positions: 2

 

Starting Time: 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. off holes #1 and #10 

 

Driving Range: The driving range will be made available by 9:00 a.m. at no additional charge to the player.

 

Player Arrival Time: Please do not enter the practice facilities until one hour and fifteen minutes prior to your starting time to limit crowding.

 

Clubhouse: Please note that the clubhouse will be completely closed for construction during the qualifier. Restrooms, food and beverage and check in will be avaiable at the driving range.

 

Parking: Please CLICK HERE to view the parking lot instructions. Players will enter through the main entrance and park in the Arrowhead lot. Club staff will shuttle players from their cars to the range.

 

Practice Round Information: $30.00 for green fees and $30.00 for cart rentals. Available after 1:00 p.m. on Monday, May 17.

Player Food: Player food will be the responsibility of the player and will be available for purchase on the driving range for cash or credit.

 

Score Posting: The CGA will post tournament scores for all Amateur players.

Amateur Handicap Index limit: 3.4

 

Field Size: Maximum of 84 players.

 

 

Local Rules in Effect

 

Distance Measuring Devices (new): During Qualifying rounds, the use of electronic distance-measuring devices to measure distance is allowed (subject to certain requirements). However, during the Championship Proper, the Local Rule as prescribed in Section 8 of the Committee Procedures is in effect and prohibits the use of electronic distance-measuring devices. Model Local Rule G-5.

 

Green Maps: Please note that any green reading materials must adhere to the 2019 updated standards. The golf course will have green books for sale on site.

 

Prohibiting Use of Audio and Video Devices: During a round, a player must not listen to or watch content of any nature on a personal audio or video device (G-8).

Ball Played from Outside Relief Area When Taking Back-On-the-Line Relief: Model Local Rule E-12 is in effect. CLICK HERE for a full explanation.

 

Official in Charge: An official in charge cannot set-up a golf course or officiate Rules if that person is also a participant at the qualifying site.

 

Limiting When Stroke Made From Putting Green Must Be Replayed Under Exception 2 to Rule 11.1b: Local Rule as prescribed in the Clarifications to the 2019 Rules of Golf is in effect. Model Local Rule D-7.

 

One Ball Rule: Local Rule as prescribed in Section 8 of the Committee Procedures is in effect. Model Local Rule G-4.

 

Clubs: Grooves - Local Rule as prescribed in Section 8 of the Committee Procedures is in effect, except that the Exception in the Model Local Rule does not apply - Model Local Rule G-2.

 

Footwear: It is a condition at all qualifying sites unless otherwise indicated by an asterisk on this entry application that shoes with traditionally-designed spikes (regardless of composition, i.e., ceramic, plastic, etc.) or spikes, regardless of design, comprised either entirely or partially of metal (if such metal may come in contact with the course) are prohibited during the stipulated round.
