Championship conducted to determine the top female Senior player in Louisiana for 2021. Entrants must be 50 years of age by midnight, September 29, 2021.


Entry Fee, Withdrawal/Refunds: Entry fee of $200, which includes cart fee for practice round and tournament play. Entry fee will be refunded regardless of reason if LGA office is notified, in writing, before the close of entries (September 21, 2021). After the close of entries, fee will be refunded only in the event of injury or illness provided notification (accompanied by a doctor's statement) reaches LGA offices by September 29, 2021. A $40 service charge will be deducted from all refunds. Pairings and starting times will be emailed to each accepted entry on or about September 22, 2021.

Limited to the first 156 entries. In addition to the Overall Championship, there is a Super Senior (65+) division and Grand Super Senior (70+) division for those participants who are 65 years of age and older. Divisions will be determined based on field size at the close of entries and at the discretion of the committee.

Eligibility: Entries are open to any Louisiana resident (as of at least 90 days prior to the Championship) who is an amateur golfer (as defined by the USGA and The R&A) holding membership in a LGA member club in good standing (2021 club and individual dues must be paid). Entrants must be 50 years of age by midnight, September 29, 2021, and possess a certified World Handicap System Index of 40.0 or less. Non-amateurs are not eligible. Entries are subject to rejection at
any time (including during the Championship) by the LGA. Reasons for rejection may include unbecoming conduct. For additional information regarding the LGA's gender policy please visit www.lgagolf.org/gender-policy.


Dress Code: Competitors must be neat in appearance and wear appropriate attire. No gym shorts, cutoffs, blue jeans, tee shirts, etc. Shorts must be Bermuda length. Important Note:  LaTour Golf Club is a spikeless facility and all competitors will be required to wear spikeless shoes.


Field/Format: Limited to the first 156 entries. All competitors will play 36 holes (Sep. 30-Oct. 1). 

Practice Privileges: Practice privileges are extended to participants in the Championship at LaTour Golf Club on September 29. Cart fee paid by LGA. Practice rounds may be scheduled on or after September 22. 

Prizes: The Women's Senior Amateur Champion will receive a crystal trophy and the Senior Amateur perpetual trophy to be kept at the champions home club for one year. Top-3 finishers in the Overall Championship and the Super Senior Championship will receive a crystal prize. The Grand Super Senior Champion will receive a crystal prize (if applicable). 

WAGR: As part of their expanding relationship to govern the game globally, the USGA partners with the R&A in compiling and publishing the World Amateur Golf Rankings (WAGR). This LGA Championship is a WAGR counting event, and the results will be sent to the R&A in St Andrews, Scotland. A primary purpose of the WAGR is to provide exemptions into USGA and R&A amateur championships for top ranked amateur golfers. The rankings are updated every Wednesday at 12:00 noon, Greenwich Mean Time. Additional information about the WAGR and the current rankings may be found at 

Rules of Golf: Play will be governed by the current Rules of Golf and LGA Rules of Play Card. All questions will be settled by the LGA Rules Committee, whose decision will be final.
