CHAMPIONSHIP FEE

Exempt players will be charged $325. Player’s advancing to the Championship through qualifying will be responsible for a $175.00 Championship fee.  This fee will be charged to the player upon being transferred to the Championship proper in the online registration system after your qualifying round has concluded.  Exempt players have no additional championship fees aside from the practice round.

FIELD SIZE

144 players

ELIGIBILITY

Open to male amateur golfers age 25 or older as of May 21, 2021.

FORMAT

54 holes of individual stroke play. After 36 holes of play, the field will be cut to the low 70 scores and ties.

PRACTICE ROUND

One practice round per player. Practice rounds will be available on the designated times below two weeks prior to the competition. Please call Country Club of Columbus to reserve your practice round starting time after you have received your acceptance confirmation starting on March 12th.  Practice round cart and range fee is $30 plus tax. Credit cards ONLY will be accepted.

  • Tuesday - Thursday, anytime based on availability.
  • Friday and Sunday before 11:30 a.m., based on availability.

YARDAGES & TEES

Yardages will be posted online before the close of entries and at the host club.  Yardages are approximate and may be adjusted due to inclement weather or other factors that may affect the playing conditions during the competition.

GOLF SHOP & DRIVING RANGE

The golf shop and driving range will open at 7:00 a.m. each day of competition.

STARTING TIMES

Starting times for tournament play will be assigned by the GSGA and posted at the club the day before the competition starts. You may visit www.gsga.org for complete pairing information and starting times beginning on May 12th. 

REGISTRATION

No formal registration will be held on site. Players should arrive to their assigned starting tee ten minutes before their starting time to allow for the starter to go over instructions and rules of play. Player withdraws must be called or e-mailed to the GSGA office so that an alternate may be contacted.

CARTS

Practice carts and range fees are $30 plus tax. Tournament round cart and range fees are included in the entry fee. Credit cards ONLY will be accepted.

FOOD SERVICE

Food service will be available in the halfway house from 7 a.m. – 7 p.m.

There will be limited breakfast items.

PRIZES

Gift certificates will be awarded to the low 25 finishers.

REFUND POLICY

A $30 service charge will be retained by the GSGA on all refunds granted prior to the close of entries. Entry fees will not be refunded after entries close unless there is a waiting list and your spot can be filled. Withdraws after the close of entries must be made by calling the GSGA Rules and Competitions Department at (770) 955-4272 or (800) 949-4742 or via email.

CONDITIONS OF COMPETITION - The following conditions shall be in effect for this competition:

  • GSGA competitions are "spikeless" events. Therefore, metal and traditionally-designed spikes are prohibited. Penalty for breach of this condition is disqualification.
  • Players are responsible for posting their scores to the handicap system upon conclusion of this competition. Scores must be posted as tournament scores. Course slope and rating information is typically posted at the scoreboard during the competition. You may also contact GSGA for this information. Your scores are subject to review by your peers and your club's handicap committee.
