FORMAT:  The event will be 18 holes of stroke play in a Scramble format. Play will be 35% of the lower Course Handicap and 15% of the higher Course Handicap. A side will start the play of each hole and then select the side’s best shot. The partner may place a ball within six inches no closer to the hole of the selected spot and must remain in the same area of the course (i.e. general area, bunker, penalty area, putting green). The side plays their next stroke from the chosen spot. This procedure is followed on every shot until the ball is holed. Sides are required to select each partner’s tee shot at least six times throughout a round. A player will compete based on his/her May 19th index or tournament index, whichever is lower. The top finishers in each flight will receive gift card money to Amazon.com. Players are required to play from the designated tees in this event due to the format.

TEES: (Tee assignment is required due to the format)

Men: White tees (6,302 yards, par 72; 70.9/133)

Women: Burgundy tees (5,376 yards, par 72; 70.2/123)

Play will begin at 10:30 a.m. with tee times in 10-minute intervals off the Nos. 1 and 10 tees of the North Course. Please be at your assigned tee ready for play 10 minutes prior to your start time. There you will go over scoring and other important procedures with the starter.

PACE OF PLAY & RULES: Please be sure to keep up with the group in front of you. Groups that miss their 18-hole checkpoint (finishing over the designated time and more than 14 minutes behind the group in front of them) are subject to a two-stroke penalty.  In order to keep an adequate pace of play, players are asked to pick up once maximum score has been reached on a respective hole; failure to do so will result in a two-stroke penalty.

The Rules of Golf as approved by the USGA and the R & A are in effect. It is the player’s responsibility to have a working knowledge of the rules. For more information regarding the rules, players can visit the NCGA’s website: https://ncga.org/rules/

MAXIMUM SCORE:  A gross triple bogey on any hole.

SERIOUS MISCONDUCT & DRESS CODE: A player who is removed from the course for Serious Misconduct will result in a loss of all funds and potentially a suspension from future events. Players and Caddies are to dress appropriately. For more information, please refer to the NCGA Weekend Net Tour Hard Card.

PLAYER OF THE YEAR: The top overall net scores will receive points on the Weekend Net Tour Player of the Year list for their finish, please look at the points distribution table on the Weekend Net Tour page for point allocations.

CARTS: A shared cart is available to all players. Two carts per group. Players who would like a plastic partition between the driver and passenger must request this to me by no later than Tuesday May 18th. Walking is allowed and at the player’s discretion.

DRIVING RANGE AND PRACTICE GREEN: The driving range and practice green are available for use prior to a player’s tee time. To avoid overcrowding and to give everyone the opportunity to use these areas, players are to limit the amount of time at each area to a maximum of 15 minutes.

SKINS: NO SKINS GAME IS OFFERED DUE TO FORMAT.

GIFT CARD DISTRIBUTION: The top performers in each flight and skins’ winners will win gift cards to Amazon.com. These will be distributed by email and will be done in batches, so gift card monies may not be received for up to 4 weeks after the event. Please be sure your email in Golf Genius is up to date.

TIES: Ties for gift card prizes will be settled using USGA recommendations of a card off: best back 9 net score, best back 6 (net), best back 3 (net), followed by best 18th hole (net), finally, tie-break by coin-flip.
