Format: 54 holes Stroke Play, 18 holes per day. Contestants will play from the Blue NCGA Tee Markers. If necessary, there will be a play-off to determine first place immediately following the conclusion of play. Ties for second and third place will be broken using the USGA method of matching cards.

 

Competition Schedule: Starting times for the first two days will be at 7:30am off holes #1 and #10. The low 30 players and ties will advance to the final round and will start at 7:30am off the 1st tee only. Please check the pairings tab for starting times. Please be at your assigned tee at least 10 minutes prior to your starting time. First and Second Round Pairings will be available Monday, September 20th.

Practice Round Information:                                     

Contact the Poppy Hills Golf Shop at 831-622-8239 for practice round availability. NCGA member green fees are $90 Monday-Thursday and $120 Friday-Sunday.

 

Cart Fee Information:

Golf carts are optional at the player’s expense. Cart rental is $25 per player. A maximum of two carts per group allowed. GUEST OR NON-COMPETITOR CARTS ARE STRICTLY PROHIBITED.

 

Practice Balls – Prior to Play:                                                    

Provided for players prior to competition rounds at no cost. The practice range will open at 7:00 AM. Contestants will have access to the practice area 30 minutes prior to their round for 10 minutes of warmup and 10 minutes on the practice putting green. The practice range and putting green will not be available for practice after the round, and contestants should depart the golf course once you have confirmed scores within the group, unless you are getting food or refreshments from the restaurant. 

 

Payment Information:                                                  

VISA, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express are accepted for all purchases (golf shop and food and beverage). Cash is not accepted at this time.

 

Food and Beverage Information: 

Porter’s Restaurant will be open at 7:00 AM with a limited menu. No outside food and beverage allowed. To avoid losing position and penalty for slow play/undue delay, during their rounds all players are advised to order ready-made food at the snack bar.

 

Gate Clearance:                                                               

For Pebble Beach gate clearance, please state your name and the NCGA tournament you are playing to the Pebble Beach Security personnel upon arrival at any gate to 17-Mile Drive.

 

                                                                                                                                               

Rules Information

 

 

Golf Shoes:

Model Local Rule G-7 is in effect.

 

Rules of Play:  The Rules of Golf effective January 2019 are in effect and are supplemented by the 2021 NCGA Hard Card.  The Committee will provide any additional Local Rules needed at the championship site.  Please be familiar with the NCGA Regulations and Policies, and Pace of Play Policy.

 

Scoring: Players must download the USGA TM app (or GolfGenius). The GGID for the group will be available for the players the day prior, it will be emailed and available with the starter.

 

At least one player in the group will be assigned to keep score for all players in the pairing. A score card will be provided by the starter and will be the official scorecard. The mobile scoring is unofficial.
