Format:                                                               

36 hole four-ball stroke play at Poppy Hills Golf Course, 18 holes being played each day. Play will be from the NCGA tee markers (see yardage sheet). There will be a play-off to determine first place immediately following the conclusion of play (if necessary). If a play-off cannot be conducted (decision of the Committee and golf course) the USGA method of matching cards will be used. Ties for second or third place will be broken using the USGA method of matching cards for medals only.

Monday, October 4 – 7:30AM off tees #1 & 10 at Poppy Hills Golf Course

Tuesday, October 5 – 7:30AM off tees #1 & 10 at Poppy Hills Golf Course

Second round starting times will be posted on the NCGA website following the conclusion of first round. Players will be repaired by Round 1 score. 

Players should be at their assigned tee 10 minutes prior to their starting time.

 

Substitutions:                                                  

Substitutions must be made by 5:00PM Friday, October 1, 2021.

 

Practice Round Information:                                     

Contact the Poppy Hills Golf Shop at 831-622-8239 for practice round availability. NCGA member green fees are $90 Monday-Thursday and $120 Friday-Sunday.

 

Cart Fee Information:

Golf carts are optional at the player’s expense. Cart rental is $25 per player. A maximum of two carts per group allowed. GUEST OR NON-COMPETITOR CARTS ARE STRICTLY PROHIBITED.

 

Practice Balls – Prior to Play:                                                    

Provided for players prior to competition rounds at no cost. The practice range will open at 7:00 AM. Contestants will have access to the practice area 30 minutes prior to their round for 10 minutes of warmup and 10 minutes on the practice putting green. The practice range and putting green will not be available for practice after the round, and contestants should depart the golf course once you have confirmed scores within the group, unless you are getting food or refreshments from the restaurant. 

 

Payment Information:                                                  

VISA, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express are accepted for all purchases (golf shop and food and beverage). Cash is not accepted at this time.

 

Food and Beverage Information: 

Porter’s Restaurant will be open at 7:00 AM with a limited menu. No outside food and beverage allowed. To avoid losing position and penalty for slow play/undue delay, during their rounds all players are advised to order ready-made food at the snack bar.

 

Gate Clearance:                                                               

For Pebble Beach gate clearance, please state your name and the NCGA tournament you are playing to the Pebble Beach Security personnel upon arrival at any gate to 17-Mile Drive.

Golf Shoes:

Model Local Rule G-7 is in effect.

 

Scoring: 

Players must download the USGA TM app (or GolfGenius). The GGID for the group will be emailed with the pairings, texted to the players the day prior, and available with the starter. At least one player in the group will be assigned to keep score for all players in the pairing. A scorecard will be provided by the starter and will be the official scorecard. The mobile scoring is unofficial.
