Scoring: Players are expected to download the USGA TM app (or GolfGenius). The GGID for the group is available on the scorecard PDF available above. This GGID will also be texted to each player and available with the starter.

  • Within the group, players should enter scores for one other player. If someone does not have a phone available, players must ensure at least one player in the group is entering scores.
  • At the end of the round, all players in the group must confirm hole-by-hole scores posted online are correct. This can be done using the Leaderboard in the app or online in this event portal.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ):

Q. Do we need to mark the position of the selected ball before we play our next strokes?

A. No, the position of the selected ball does not need to be marked, however it is recommended that you do so to ensure you play from the right place.

Q. Does the 6-inch rule apply on the putting green also?

A. Yes, the ball must be played from within six inches from the original spot.

Q.  If the ball chosen is on the green is it okay to move off the green within the six inches in the unlikely event such a spot just off the green gives a better angle on the putt?

A. Yes, the six-inch allowance may be used to take a ball from on the putting green to off the putting green, however not the other way around. If a ball comes to rest in the general area, the six-inch allowance may NOT be used to place the ball onto the putting green. See Rule 26.1b.

Q. We’ll be playing our next shot out of a bunker, does the player whose ball was first in the bunker have to play it as it lies or can he also move it up to 6 inches not nearer the hole?

A. The team may play in any order that it considers best. Also, see Rule 26.1c.

Q. I’m right-handed; my partner is left-handed. I am in a position to get relief from a cart path. Can he play from where the ball is now before I take relief or does he have to play from where I take relief?

A. If either player is entitled to relief, the side may take relief. However, relief must be taken by finding the nearest point of complete relief for BOTH partners and BOTH partners must play from the new position. See Rule 26.2b.

Q. We are near the end of the round and my partner’s next two tee shots must be used. If I hit a tee shot is there any penalty for practice or any other scramble rule violation?

A. No, there is no penalty for playing a stroke in this situation. However, if a player takes an unreasonable amount of time to play a stroke the side knows will cannot be used, the side could be subject to penalty for unreasonable delay, see Rule 5.6a.
