Eligibility: Entries are open to junior golfers who are Regular members of the WVGA which includes Callaway Junior Tour, and who are 18 years of age or under by the start of the Championship (May 8th) Please Reference WVGA Policies and Procedures for further details.

 

Format: Sixteen players (Boys) and eight players (Girls) will advance from 18-hole stroke play qualifying into the Junior Match Play Championship. Match Play will begin on the morning of Saturday May 8th and will be a single elimination format. There will be both a Boys and Girls Division. The defending Boys & Girls Champion from 2020 (Boys-Todd Duncan, Girls-Savannah Hawkins) will be automatically exempt into the #1 spot in the championship.

 

Field Size: Field is limited to the 16 Boys and 8 Girls

 

QUALIFYING INFORMATION

 

Allocated Spots: Will depend on how many players attempt to qualify at each location. Exact allocations will be published April 22nd. 

 

Practice Round: Each course will offer players a practice round opportunity the afternoon before. Please call the Pro Shop at Edgewood or Bel Meadow to schedule your practice round tee time. Practice rounds on any other days other than the designated practice round are available depending on availibility. 

 

Qualifier Yardage: Boys - approximately 6,400 yards     Girls - 5400 yards

 

Spectator Carts: Spectator carts will be available from the host club. 

 

Withdrawal Policy: In the event of a tournament withdraw; the player must notify the West Virginia Golf Association Office at 304-391-5000 no later than one week prior to the tournament. If withdraw is made prior to tournament deadline, the player may receive a refund regardless of reason less a $20 administrative fee. For a withdraw made after the entry deadline, the player may receive a refund only if player has experienced a sudden illness or injury, and only if the West Virginia Golf Association is notified prior to the first round of the tournament.
