Eligibility: Open to players from all disability categories as defined by the USAGA Player Classification System with a nationally recognized golf handicap index. GSGA membership and Georgia residency are NOT requirements.

 

Championship Fee: $175

 

Entries Open: Monday, March 22 (Noon)

 

Entries Close: Friday, June 11 (Noon)

 

Format: 36 holes of stroke play

 

Maximum Field Size: 48

 

Divisions/Flights: The championship will consist of divisions and flights as modeled by the USAGA Player Classification System. More info on the USAGA Player Classification System can be found here: https://www.usaga.org/usaga-ranking-system.html

 

  • Jones Division (Overall Championship, G1, G2, G5, G14)
  • Yates Division (G3, G4, G6, G7, G8, G11, G12, G13)
  • Cupp Division (Seated Championship - G9/G10)
  • Suggs Division (Women's Championship - G1-G5)

 

Practice Round: The designated practice round date is Friday, June 25th. Practice round cart and range fee is included in the Championship Fee for this date. The practice round will be a shotgun start at 1:00 p.m.

 

Yardages & Tees: Yardages and tees will be released following the close of entries and will be based on USAGA Guidelines in each division.

 

Golf Shop & Driving Range: The golf shop and driving range will open at 7:00 a.m. each day of the championship.

 

Starting Times: Starting times for the practice round and championship will be assigned by the GSGA and communicated to all players via email and text. You may also visit www.gsga.org for complete pairing information and starting times approximately one week prior to the championship.

 

Opening Ceremony: Following the Practice Round, a Welcome Party will be held on Friday evening (approximately 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.). This event will be catered by Local Three Kitchen & Bar.

 

Trophy Ceremony: Following the conclusion of Round 2, a Trophy Ceremony will be held on Sunday evening (approximately 6:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.).

 

Registration: Formal registration will be held at Bobby Jones Golf Course on Friday, June 25th from 10:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. in the roundabout in front of Murray Golf House and inside the Georgia Golf Hall of Fame Room.

 

Caddies & Player Aides: Players are responsible for planning for a caddie and/or player aide should they choose to use one. A limited number of player aides can be made available by the GSGA upon advanced request. Players may ride in a cart or walk.

 

Rules of Play: The 2019 Rules of Golf and the Modified Rules of Golf for Players with Disabilities will be utilized for the championship.

 

Player Hospitality: The player hospitality room will be located in the Georgia Golf Hall of Fame Room and will be available on Friday throughout the day, Saturday until 4:00 p.m., and Sunday until 4:00 p.m. This room will contain relevant player information, snacks, and refreshments.

 

Food Service: All meals will be catered or served via food truck from vendors including Chick-Fil-A, Jimmy Johns, Flavor Rich Food Truck, and Local Three Kitchen & Bar.

 

Prizes: Gift certificates will be awarded to the top finishers overall and in each division. Gift certificate breakdown will be available the week of the championship.

 

Hotel Accommodations: Holiday Inn Express & Suites Atlanta Buckhead ($89++)

 

Refund Policy: For 2021, players may request a FULL refund due to a withdrawal up to their starting time on the first day of competition for ANY reason. After the player's starting time has passed on the first day of competition, refunds will not be granted. Withdrawals must be made by calling the official in-charge, Colton Dean, at 678-324-5973 or via email at cdean@gsga.org

 

Host Site Information: Bobby Jones Golf Course boasts one of the few reversible golf courses in the United States. For the championship, both the Magnolia & Azalea routings will be utilized.
