38th Massachusetts Mid-Amateur Championship

Entries are open to amateur golfers who have reached their 25th birthday by September 9, 2021 and who have an active Mass Golf/GHIN Handicap Index at any public, private, semi-private, municipal or non-real estate Mass Golf member course/club not exceeding 5.4 (as determined by the July 15, 2021 Handicap Revision) or have completed their handicap certification.
Entries and fully paid entry fees must be received through the Mass Golf Online Entry process by 5:00pm EST on the published entry deadline.
Competition will be in two stages;
1. Sectional Qualifying - 18 Holes at Stroke Play (For all except Exempt entrants).
2. Championship Proper - 54 Holes at Stroke Play
The Championship Proper field is limited to 120 players (approx.; based on qualifying ties).
Exemptions (Upon receipt of the online registration and fee, the players in the following categories are exempt from Sectional Qualifying); 2021 Mid-Amateur Championship Exemptions
Sectional Qualifying; August 2 – August 25
Round 1 – September 9 (18 Holes)
Round 2 – September 10 (18 Holes)
***The low 30 scorers and ties after 18-holes will continue play on September 11
Round 3 – September 11 (18 Holes)
Any tie for first place will be decided immediately by a hole-by-hole play-off.
Caddies & Automotive Transportation:
Players may use caddies, pull carts (at the host clubs(s) discretion) and/or automotive transportation during Sectional Qualifying and Championship Proper.
Food & Beverage:
A complimentary luncheon will be provided for all competitors on September 9 & 11.
Qualifying Round Starting Times & Player Information will be emailed to all competitors shortly after the close of entries.
Championship Proper Starting Times & Player Information will be emailed to all competitors shortly after the last qualifier.
The Ted Bishop Cup will be awarded to the Champion. Merchandise certificates will be awarded and are only redeemable at the host site.

Courtesy practice privileges are at the discretion of the host club(s). Mass Golf will provide details surrounding the availability of practice rounds ahead of the scheduled event; please refrain from contacting the host clubs until specific details are received from Mass Golf.

Withdrawal & Refund Policy:
Competitors who have submitted an entry for a Mass Golf event and wish to withdraw for any reason, MUST notify the Mass Golf office (email preferred). Entry fee will be refunded less a $20 administrative fee, regardless of reason, if Mass Golf is notified seven (7) days prior to the event. Entry fee will be refunded less 50% for any withdrawals received less than seven (7) days prior to the event. No refund will be processed for a withdrawal notification that is received on the scheduled date of an event.
