  • Over the age 55 as of August 25, 2021 
  • Amateur male golfers
  • Must be a member of an RDGA club.
  • Must have a RDGA/USGA Handicap Index.

  • Senior Division (25 players ages 55-59)  Maximum Hdcp. Index of 9.9 (as of 8/18/2021)

  • Masters Division (25 players ages 65-69)   Maximum Hdcp. Index of 11.9 (as of 8/18/2021)
  • Legends Division (15 players ages 70+)   Maximum Hdcp. Index of 14.9 (as of 8/18/2021)

 

Field is limited to 90 total Players: 25 Players in the first three divisions and 15 in the Legends division.

If the event becomes oversubscribed, the field will be made up of the lowest handicap indexes as of Wednesday, August 18, 2021.

 

Event Format

  • Competition will consist of 36 holes of stroke play (Two 18-hole rounds). The contestant competing in our Overall Division (all Players from the Cobblestone Creek Men's Blue/White Combo Tees) with the lowest 36 hole gross score will be the Overall RDGA Senior Champion.
  • The top 5 finishers and ties in the Overall Division, and the Champions of each Division, will receive an exemption into the 2022 RDGA District Championship at the Country Club of Rochester.
  • In the event of a tie for 1st place within any division, a hole-by-hole playoff will be held immediately upon completion of the final round.* (All other ties will be retained, and prizes will be distributed evenly.)
  • Play begins both days at 8:00 am off #1 tee.  Each Player will tee off these tees once. 
  • The first three divisions will play for the Overall Title. If a player in the Legends division wishes, he may 'play up' for the Overall Title.  
  • Pairings will be done within your division for Day 1. On Day 2, pairings will be done by first day score within the the first three divisions, and separately the Legends division.

 

Tees by Division:

Senior (Ages 55-59) will play the Cobblestone Men's BLUE/WHITE Tees at 6,164 yards.

Super Senior (Ages 60-64) will play the Cobblestone Men's BLUE/WHITE Tees at 6,164 yards.

Masters (Ages 65-69) will play the Cobblestone Men's BLUE/WHITE Tees at 6,164 yards.
Legends (Ages 70+) will play the Cobblestone Men's WHITE Tees at 5,988 yards.

 

Schedule of Events

Wednesday, August 25 - (Round 1)

  • 8:00 am start time off #1 in this order: Seniors, Super Seniors, Masters, Legends
  • Lunch available at the turn or after the completion of the round

 

Thursday, August 26 - (Round 2)

  • 8:00 am start time off #1: Legends, then remaining three divisions by first day score.
  • Lunch available at the turn or after the completion of the round
  • Awards Ceremony following play 

 

Cart Policy

Carts are included in fee but not mandatory. Two riders per cart.  Players may walk and may use caddie if desired.  Appropriate Covid safety measures must be utilized.  This means masks whenever you cannot social distance.  The RDGA is following the same "One Seat Policy" in regards to caddies that is implemented during USGA Championships. Caddies

Caddies are allowed.
NOTE: Caddies are allowed to ride/drive in a cart during the tournament - as long as the "One Seat Policy" is followed.

Pairings

  • Tee times will be provided approximately a week before the event.
  • Players will play in threesomes.
  • Tee times will begin at 8:00 am each day and will be set at 10 minute intervals off #1 tee.

 

Range

The practice range will be open to all players beginning approximately at 6:30 am and is included in the entry fee.

 

Food Services

  • Lunch is included in the entry fee for all players each day.  Please only one lunch per player per day. 
  • Caddies lunches are NOT included in entry fee and must be paid for separately.

 

Practice Round

There is no formal practice round for this event.  You may reach out to the Pro Shop to make individual arrangements.

 

Score Posting

The RDGA will post all scores.

Refund Policy

Refunds of tournament entry fees will be made in accordance with the following rules:

  1. If the player withdraws BEFORE the registration deadline, he/she will be granted a refund of the full entry, minus the $10.00 credit card processing fee. (The refund will be credited back to the players card).

 

  1. If the player withdraws from a tournament AFTER the registration closes, no refund will be granted.

RDGA Code of Conduct

The Rochester District Golf Association (RDGA) and its member clubs believe that participation in RDGA amateur events is a privilege that carries responsibilities.  In order to enter an RDGA event, a player must be an amateur golfer and be a member in good standing at an RDGA member club.  He or she must adhere to all RDGA tournament requirements, including possession of a USGA Handicap Index, age and/or gender for selected events, appropriate golf attire, mandatory use of riding carts at selected events, and obey local host club rules that may apply to players during a competition.

 

The most recent edition of the USGA Rules of Golf will govern all play in RDGA events, along with the RDGA Conditions of Competition and any Local Rules that may be put into effect for selected events.  All players must familiarize themselves with the provisions of Rule 1.2 of the USGA Rules of Golf and conduct themselves accordingly, i.e. by playing in the spirit of the game, acting with integrity, showing consideration for others, and taking good care of the golf course, as those concepts are described in Rule 1.2a.

 

In accordance with Rule 1.2b of the USGA Rules of Golf, the RDGA has adopted this Code of Conduct to apply to all players in RDGA events.  In the discretion of the RDGA Rules Committee, a player may receive the General Penalty (loss of hole in match play or 2 strokes in stroke play) for conduct that breaches this Code.  A penalty of Disqualification may be applied for any serious misconduct that occurs.  Examples of “serious misconduct” include, but are not limited to:  deliberately damaging a putting green, deliberately moving tee markers or boundary stakes, deliberately distracting other players, refusing to follow the Rules of Golf, repeated use of vulgar or offensive language, or showing disrespect to a Rules Official.
