UTAH FOUR-BALL CHAMPIONSHIP

September 20-21, 2021

 

ENTRY FEE

$430 per team.

  • $130 for qualifying.
  • $300 to advance to championship. 

Each successful qualifiying team will automatically be placed in the Championship field and their card will be charged $300.  There will be no need to register for the championship once you have qualified.

 

QUALIFIER FORMAT

18-Holes of Four-Ball Stroke Play Qualifying

 

CHAMPIONSHIP FORMAT

Four-Ball Match Play.  All play will be gross within divisions.

 

FIELD SIZE

16 Championship Division Teams, 8 Senior Division Teams, and 4 Super Senior Division Teams will advance to the match play portion of the championship.

 

ELIGIBILITY

Each player must be a current member of the UGA. For a team to qualify for the Senior Men’s division, both players must be 50 years or older, and for the Super Senior division, both players must be 65 or older as of the first day of competition.

 

STARTING TIMES

Starting times will be e-mailed to players and posted online once the registration deadline has passed.
 
PRACTICE ROUNDS

All players that advance to match play will be able to play one practice round at Park Meadows CC within certain windows made available by the club.  

 

QUALIFYING

All teams must qualify for the Championship.  If you would like to sign up for the qualifier, please go to the tournament homepage and sign up there.

 

REGISTRATION DEADLINE FOR CHAMPIONSHIP PROPER 

For those who qualify, the registration deadline for the championship proper is September 17th at 12:00 pm MDT.  If you have not registered by this time your spot will be given to an alternate.

 

SOUTHWEST TEAM CHALLENGE

*Please be advised that the Arizona Golf Association has cancelled the Southwest Team Challenge for 2021.* The champions and senior champions at the Utah Four-Ball will get an automatic spot on that year's Southwest Team Challenge.  The two winning teams will combine to make one of the UGA’s two teams in the event. **In the event that a player from one of the winning sides is unable to participate in the Southwest Team Challenge, his spot will be filled via the PPR or SPPR rankings.  

REFUNDS AND WITHDRAWALS 

If a player withdrawals prior to the registration deadline the player will receive a refund minus a $20 cancellation fee.  After the deadline, the player will receive a 50% refund.  No refunds will be issued if a player withdraws/no-shows on the day of the event. A business day starts at 12:01 am of that day.   In team competitions, if a player needs a substitute for his original partner after the field has closed; he must arrange to get the substitute. Any substitute must meet all eligibility requirements of the specified competition. The UGA must be notified of any substitutions prior to the start of the tournament.

 

*If a player has tested positive for Covid-19, the player will receive a full refund minus a $20 administration fee and will not be subject to a 50% penalty after the registration deadline.  No refunds will be issued if a player withdraws/no-shows on the day of the event.
