2021 RDGA Two Person Best Ball

RDGA TOURNAMENT PROCEDURES for 2021: The RDGA is continuing to provide health and safety guidelines for players to follow when participating in RDGA Tournaments this year, based on New York State COVID-19 guidance as well as best practices being followed by leading golf organizations across the country. FORMAT: Two-person teams. Both players tee off and play each hole individually and record their individual scores. The team then records the one best score on the hole as their team score. The event will feature 5 separate divisions: Men's Championship (Brook-Lea's Blue Tees, played at scratch), Men's Senior (Blue/White Tees, played at scratch), Men's Blue/White Tee (Net), Women's Gold Tee (Net), and Mixed (Net). Junior players are eligible to participate in any flight except senior.
PLEASE NOTE: On 4/30/21, the decision was made to assign one shorter tee length to each Division, due to expected wet course conditions on Monday, May 3.
With RDGA District Championship exemptions being given to the top three teams (and ties) in the Men's Championship Division and the first place team (including ties) in the Men's Senior Division, this will be your opportunity to qualify for the 2021 RDGA District Championship John H. Ryan Jr. Memorial at Oak Hill Country Club!
ABOUT: The RDGA Two Person Best Ball is open to ALL amateur golfers - men and women, and juniors - with an active USGA GHIN Handicap Index through a Rochester District Golf Association Member Club. Entry fee includes golf, cart & lunch for both team members, as well as more than $2000 in prizes to the field (approximately the top 1/4 of each Division). If you've never played in an actual golf tournament before - or if you are a seasoned veteran - this is a fun way to enjoy the RDGA tournament experience!
